In a profound, funny, and beautifully rendered portrait of a beloved companion, bestselling novelist Dean Koontz remembers the golden retriever who changed his life. A retired service dog, Trixie was three when Dean and his wife, Gerda, welcomed her into their home. She was superbly trained, but her greatest gifts couldn’t be taught: her keen intelligence, her innate joy, and an uncanny knack for living in the moment. Whether chasing a tennis ball or protecting those she loved, Trixie gave all she had to everything she did....

Feeling and compassion emanates from every word. So beautiful! I remember "Dark Rivers of the Heart" and Rocky and 'never lie to the dog.' A superb biography! Thank you once again, Mr. Koontz!

The Only Thing Worth Dying For chronicles the most important mission in the early days of the Global War on Terror, when the men on the ground knew little about the enemy - and their commanders in Washington knew even less. With unprecedented access to surviving members of ODA 574, key war planners, and Karzai himself, award-winning author Eric Blehm cuts through the noise of politicians and high-level military officials to narrate, for the first time, a story of uncommon bravery and terrible sacrifice.

Cory says: "Great story about the rise of Karzai."

Award-winning author Craig Johnson's critically acclaimed debut Western mystery takes listeners to the breathtaking mountains of Wyoming for a tale of cold-blooded vengeance. Four high-school boys were given suspended sentences for raping a Cheyenne girl. Now, two of the boys have been killed, and only Sheriff Walt Longmire can keep the other two safe.

In my heart, no one can replace Tony Hillerman, but Craig Johnson is beginning to fill this gap, I suppose if anyone is ever able. The loss of those wonderful stories of the Navajo People left a vacancy in my heart, as I had grown to love all of his characters like family. Mr. Johnson, I sincerely appreciate the very big shoes you are having to fill. I am happy your adventures lie within the Big Sky country. On Audible.com, I have downloaded every book you have on that market. I also watch Longmire. Your Longmire actor is first rate! He totally matches my vision! The other actors are very good also, but having your stories read by the superb Mr. Guidall, whose voice rings in my mind, Lt. Leaphorn, brings the cozy feeling, visions of red dirt, and essence of pinon smoke to my senses. Thank you, Mr. Guidall for transforming your characters into living, breathing beings! You have no equal when it comes to The West. The down side of that is, however, I have real difficulty with any other genre you read. You are Leaphorn, Chee and now Longmire. Thank you Mr. Johnson for some great new adventures! You have a solid, faithful fan in me. Keep up the good work.

There have been many Marines. There have been many marksmen. But there has been only one Sergeant Carlos Hathcock, a legend of Marine lore. He stalked the Viet Cong behind enemy lines. His record has never been matched: 93 confirmed kills. This is his story. Powerful, chilling, and all true.

No real shooter should go without knowing about and having read works on Carlos Hathcock! A most honorable country fellow whose life and career parallels another super marksman and hero, Audie Muruphy. Audie also grew up in a small farming community whose family had to depended on him daily to put meat on the table. Responsibility and dependability learned from a very early age tends to result in the making of quite gentlemen and great warriors.
