Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes - it was great. It is one of my favourite Stephen King novels

    Any additional comments?

The only let down is the random music, which, like I said, was random, and it was at times louder than the narrators.... could definitely have done without.

Imperial Rome is a city on the brink, her citizens divided by class, religion - and zombies who feast upon the living. The patricians cling to the old faith, hoping to appease their ancestors by lavishing food upon the tombs of the dead, even as the poor starve in the streets. They blame the zombie outbreak on the Christians, certain they have angered the ancestors into unleashing this ungodly plague. Father Polycarp, however, believes differently. He is blessed with the Apostle’s Gift.

Yes, I would definitely recommend this audiobook to a friend. It was spot on.

What did you like best about this story?

This story flowed wonderfully. It was a lovely and emotional story. The characters were fleshed out nicely, and a bond and connection was felt with both the champions and the antagonist.

What does Benjamin L. Darcie bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

His reading of the novel was well done. His voice really added an emotional quality.

If you could sum up Submerged in three words, what would they be?

Fun, intriguing, compelling.... There is humour, there is mystery, and you cannot stop reading (listening to) it.

Who was your favorite character and why?

My favourite character was Marcus. Despite his faults he is a really nice guy, and he is so full of self doubt that you can't help but like him

What three words best describe Paige McKinney’s performance?

    Nicely paced narrator......

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

    Yes definitely.

    Any additional comments?

Loved how parts of this book tied in with another of Cheryl Kay Tardif's novels. Was unexpected and hilarious. LOVE IT

Definitely. It was an excellent story, and very spooky in parts.... loved it. Am so happy I bought it

Who was your favorite character and why?

I liked just about every character.... had a soft spot for Irma and Ed, and Jay of course.

What about Denice Stradling’s performance did you like?

Her reading was not too fast, nor too slow (a big issue with a lot of narrators), and she didn't do too badly with the different voices. Her voice was easy to listen to as well

Who was the most memorable character of Children of the Fog and why?

    Adam and Ashleigh

    Any additional comments?

I finished this book at 2am this morning - couldn't stop listening to it.... And even debated turning the lights on at a few points

Who was your favorite character and why?

This was hard, as all the characters have unique qualities that I loved each of them for. But I really liked Zadok and Barak. Zadok because he is so loyal, and you can't help but love him.... and Barak, because he is, at heart, a good man trying to do the best he can

    Which scene was your favorite?

The scene where Zadok and Devora first meet is my favourite. It melted my heart.

Why we think it’s a great listen: An all-time Audible favorite that mixes historic fiction, adventure, and romance with one of the most fascinating literary devices: time travel. Outlander introduces an exhilarating world of heroism and breathtaking thrills as one woman is torn between past and present, passion and love. In 1945, former combat nurse Claire Randall returns from World War II and joins her husband for a second honeymoon. But their blissful reunion is shattered....

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes. This book was so far away from my normal genre of reading (horror/thriller/zombie etc) that I wasn't expecting to like it at all - a friend told me to read it. Wow, I loved it!! I'm not going to rush out and buy another novel like this, but I would re-buy this one in a heartbeat. So, yes, definitely I would recommend it.

What did you like best about this story?

It was humourous, and interesting. I kept expecting one thing to happen and it didn't - which made me very happy YAY - so without giving away any spoilers - the bit I can't tell you about without ruining the story is the best bit LOL

What about Davina Porter’s performance did you like?

I don't know what a Scottish accent sounds like - but I thought she did a great job. She had a great pace, and I liked that she tried to differentiate the characters voices

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I laughed out loud a few times. Quite a few times actually. Gasped in a few places.... I didn't cry - but I could have.....

    Any additional comments?

The first little big of the book was boring, and hard to get through - but I knew that once Claire was in 18th Century Scotland the story would get better - and I'm so glad I kept with it.... Once it got good - it got very, very good.

For two families, it was supposed to be a relaxing camping trip in the California mountains. They thought it would be fun to get away from everything for a while. But they're not alone. The woods are also home to two terrifying residents who don't take kindly to strangers - an old hag with unholy powers, and her hulking son, a half-wild brute with uncontrollable, violent urges. The campers still need to get away - but now their lives depend on it!

The story stopped and changed a few times, which made it a little hard to follow a few times, but once I realised what was happening I was all good again.

The Zombie War came unthinkably close to eradicating humanity. Max Brooks, driven by the urgency of preserving the acid-etched firsthand experiences of the survivors from those apocalyptic years, traveled across the United States of America and throughout the world, from decimated cities that once teemed with upwards of thirty million souls to the most remote and inhospitable areas of the planet. He recorded the testimony of men, women, and sometimes children who came face-to-face with the living - or at least the undead - hell of that dreadful time.

Where does World War Z rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

It was a pretty good book to listen to. Interesting story/stories, and a few different narrators - which is a first for me. I will listen to it again.

What was one of the most memorable moments of World War Z?

There was a "ooh" moment half way through - don't want to say too much in case it gives something away, but it was a good little surprise.

What about the narrators’s performance did you like?

For the most part the narrators's performances were pretty good - except when they were supposed to be chinese/Japanese/Russian - and they all sounded half German....

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

This book has already been made into a film - and let me tell you IT IS NOTHING LIKE THE MOVIE!!!!!!! I think two lines from the book were used in the movie and that was it....

    OMG - everything!!!

Who was your favorite character and why?

RUNE!!!! It was absolutely fantastic to hear his story - it gave his character from the trilogy so much more depth. Even though I already loved his character, this solidified how I felt and more. Wish there was more of him!!!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

    I laughed. I felt sad.
I did feel cranky when the second story was about the Senator, but what the heck, she has a story too - I really did feel it added more knowing this about her.
