Fresh from an idyllic honeymoon along the Italian coast, the Blackstones prepare for the birth of their precious baby while facing the challenges of settling into a new home and married life. I loved this conclusion to the Blackstone Affair. Ethan is one of my all-time favorite book boyfriends. Even though this could have been an epilogue I am so glad the author decided to give us a fourth book instead. I love Ethan and Brynne and I enjoyed this final journey of love and healing. It was the perfect conclusion. I also love Shane East and Grace Grant as the narrators.

How do you rid the Earth of seven billion humans? Rid the humans of their humanity. Surviving the first four waves was nearly impossible. Now Cassie Sullivan finds herself in a new world, a world in which the fundamental trust that binds us together is gone. As the 5th Wave rolls across the landscape, Cassie, Ben, and Ringer are forced to confront the Others' ultimate goal: the extermination of the human race.

I honestly don’t understand all the bad reviews for this book. The 5th Wave was an amazing listen but this was just as good if not better. There was plenty of action and I felt the story advanced in a way that was completely and totally unexpected. I loved the multiple POVs and getting inside Ringer’s head. It was worth every chapter not spent on Cassie or Ben. The wait for book three is going to kill me….

After a lifetime of uncertainty, Raine Winston shouldn’t be fazed by anything anymore. But she’s terrified. Terrified that her wayward sister, Claire, has gotten into debt dangerously over her head. Terrified that a muscle-clad biker named Diego doesn’t want payment with money - he wants much more. And terrified of the dizzying desire she feels whenever Diego touches her.…

Overall I did find this to be an enjoyable listen but not the greatest of stories. The performance by Jill Redfield bumped the rating up from 2 to 3 stars for me. In my opinion too much of the plot was stolen from Sons of Anarchy but not in a good way. I didn’t care for the “hero” Diego– he yelled too much and came off as a real jerk (not sexy). I did like Raine the sassy heroine so that made me stick to the entire listen.

He's arrogant, domineering, and...To. Die. For. Hunter is a ruthless killer. And the Department of Defense has him firmly in their grasp, which usually doesn't chafe too badly because he gets to kill bad guys. Most of the time he enjoys his job. That is until he's saddled with something he's never had to do before: protect a human from his mortal enemy.

After reading the YA series Lux, I had no idea the author was writing a more adult spin-off book set in the same timeline/world as Lux. I never cared for the Arum in that series but I did enjoy Hunter. And Holy Alien Hotness Ms. Armentrout gave him his own book. He was so cocky, ruthless and deadly but he had a soft side and it was smoking hot.
If you liked the Lux series, chances are you will like this one too. However, it’s a stand alone listen so you don’t have to read the Lux books to understand Obsession. My only complaint was with the narration, it should have been read by a male for the dual POV. I had a hard time distinguishing who was speaking at times (the narrator did a poor job with it). Otherwise, the story and writing were outstanding!

Kiernan Dunne abandoned his family ties to help Kate fight the Cyrists, and he's never regretted that for one moment. But he doesn't understand why Kate can't remember that night in 1893 Chicago, when she turned back to face the killer chasing them through the smoky corridors of the World's Fair Hotel. Kate placed the CHRONOS key around his neck and made his eight-year-old self promise to wear it always, and that's a promise Kiernan has never broken.

Admittedly I loved Kiernan from the first book, Timebound, so I was very excited to get his point of view. I loved getting inside his head and understanding how he fit into Kate’s timeline(s). Because this is time travel it can become confusing at times, but the author does a good job of explaining it along the way. Although this novella did not advance the story that began in the first book, it was a great companion piece for fans of Kiernan. I would have given this 5 stars but the narration was not the best. Otherwise, I enjoyed the listen.

Bestselling author, speaker, and world-traveling success coach Jen Sincero cuts through the din of the self-help genre with her own verbal meat cleaver in You are a Badass: How to Stop Doubting Your Greatness and Start Living an Awesome Life. In this refreshingly blunt how-to guide, Sincero serves up twenty-seven bite-sized chapters full of hilariously inspiring stories, life-changing insights, easy exercises, and the occasional swear word.

I really enjoyed this book way more than I was expecting. I like romance, dystopian YA, zombies and sci-fi but something about the description just didn’t appeal to me. After reading some of the reviews I decided to give it a try and I am so glad I did. The author did a good job of finding the right balance between world building and actually telling a story. Sometimes writers get caught up in the build-up and a plot becomes boring or stale. She blended the right amount of action, romance and back story. She also threw in enough mystery to make me want to go back for more (there are at least 4 books on Audible). I liked the narrator as well but it took a while to get accustomed to his style of delivery. Overall I really enjoyed this book and would recommend it to anyone who likes a mix of sci-fi and romance.

Wow! This was a great start to a wonderful new YA dystopian series. Although the story may not be entirely original, the writing was superb. It's another alien invasion plot but this time they do not come in peace. From the start I was immediately sucked into the story and could not get enough. Even though I don't care for the typical trilogy set up, I am happy this series will continue for at least 2 more books.
    Narration was great as well.

I don't typically enjoy time travel stories as the plot can sometimes get too convoluted. I must admit some of this book made my head spin for that very reason but overall I really did enjoy this book. I was so wrapped up in the story that it became easier for me to suspend my disabelief. This added to the overall enjoyment of the book. The writing is good and the characters are likeable. The narration by Kate Rudd is excellent as well. I can't wait to listen to the next few books in this series.
