Aglirta is known as the Kingless Land. Once a prosperous and peaceful river valley, it has fallen into lawlessness, studded with feuding baronies engaged in a constant state of war. But the land is kingless no more, for the Sleeping King of legend, King Kelgrael, has been awakened by the efforts of The Band of Four.

Gerri Bishop says: "Same ol' same ol'"
    "Reader is aweful"
    Overall

My husband read the book in another format and loved it. But this reader is so monotone that We are wondering if he is even human or a computer voice. Don't waste your money.

The danger is increasing for Grianne Ohmsford, rightful High Druid of Shannara, who has been banished to the harsh world called the Forbidding by a treasonous fellow Druid. Her only hope for rescue is her nephew Pen, but Pen is under siege as well. Both he and his parents are sought by the Druids, who want to make sure that their magic will never help Grianne to return.

"This reader is much better then the last one"
    Overall

I have to say this reader is much better then the last one. He reads the book and does so without out any goofy inflections on words. After struggling through the last reader I was a little leery to continue on in the series. However once I heard this new reader it was a pleasure to read the book. Great book great reader cant wait till the next one

This is not the diary of Ann Frank. It appears to be simply 15 or so enteries from her diary. It goes nothing at all into the concentration camp or anything else the original book has in it.

  • The Colour of Magic: Discworld #1

    Story

The Colour of Magic, the first novel in Terry Pratchett's wildly imaginative Discworld series, takes the listener on a remarkable journey. The magical planet of Discworld is supported by four massive elephants who stand on the back of the Great A'Tuin, a giant turtle swimming slowly through the mysterious interstellar gulf. An eccentric expedition sets out to explore the planet, encountering dragons who only exist if you believe in them, and of course "The Edge" of the planet.

Joel says: "Start in any of seven Disworld books"
    "Just aweful"
    Overall

The narrator of this book was hard to listen to, after focing myself to listen to horrible sound effects and goofy voices I gave up trying to read this book. I am sorry to say I actually wasted a credit on this one. I am sure the book itself it good but I could not tell. If your going to narrate a book drop the goofy sound effects and voices and get on with reading it.

  • 1984

The year 1984 has come and gone, yet George Orwell's prophetic nightmare vision in 1949 of the world we were becoming is timelier than ever. 1984 is still the great modern classic of "Negative Utopia", a startlingly original and powerful novel that creates an imaginary world that is completely convincing, from the first sentence to the last four words.

Erik says: "Good narrator, great book"
"As good a read today as when it was first written"
    Overall

    Wonderful book well worth re-reading
