Why won't you allow just Step One to be completed?????? You want way too much of my time requiring completion of all the questions. I'd prefer to cooperate by just answering step one questions. It seems to be All or Nothing at All with your survey.

Jamie Fraser knows from his time-traveling wife Claire that, no matter how unlikely it seems, America will win the Revolutionary War. But that truth offers little solace, since Jamie realizes he might find himself pointing a weapon directly at his own son - a young officer in the British army. And Jamie isn't the only one with a tormented soul - for Claire may know who wins the conflict, but she certainly doesn't know whether or not her beloved Jamie survives.

New York Times best-selling author Diana Gabaldon enchanted scores of fans with Outlander, her electrifying historical saga set in 18th-century Scotland. Now this sequel sweeps listeners back into the past as Claire relates more of her perilous sojourn there with her Scottish warrior husband, James Fraser. Twenty years after her strange journey back in time, Claire has returned to Scotland with her daughter, determined to share with her the secret she has harbored since her time travel.

Would you listen to Dragonfly in Amber again? Why?

I rarely reread a book unless for reference, as in a how to book or bio. There are too many new books or books I haven't read, to waste the time re-reading a story.

Who was your favorite character and why?

    Claire

Have you listened to any of Davina Porter’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

She is excellent. I've only listened to her on books by Diana Gabaldon. I'm on book 5 and think Davina Porter brings all the characters to life. She has a superior ability in voice to make all characters indistinguishable. She does so with delightful changes in pitch, tenor and accents. She is really remarkable and the reason I want to hear the whole series.I will be sorry when the series is over. I'm on book 5 of 7.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

    It evokes almost every emotion.

Why we think it’s a great listen: An all-time Audible favorite that mixes historic fiction, adventure, and romance with one of the most fascinating literary devices: time travel. Outlander introduces an exhilarating world of heroism and breathtaking thrills as one woman is torn between past and present, passion and love. In 1945, former combat nurse Claire Randall returns from World War II and joins her husband for a second honeymoon. But their blissful reunion is shattered....

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

    Any additional comments?

I'm entranced by the whole series , I've listened to 4 so far. I'm waiting for my next book credit for number 5. These are by far the most expensive books I've purchased, I understand why as they are so long. Considering they were written in the 1990's and now we are in 2012, perhaps the price can be renegotiated.

Author Anna Wulf attempts to overcome writer’s block by writing a comprehensive "golden notebook" that draws together the preoccupations of her life, each of which is examined in a different notebook.
