TOPGUN instructor Luke Henry quits the Navy to start a private aerial combat school in Nevada. A lucrative contract with the U.S. government brings him 20 Russian MiG-29 fighter planes with the condition that he train a group of Pakistani Air Force Pilots hand-picked by the Department of Defense. Luke is hesitant to train fighters from another country in the skills he learned at TOPGUN, but he cannot open the school without agreeing.

Great story, interesting to keep you on the edge of your seat... Clear, The reader was one of the best. Story line was easy to follow and a story I could easily imagine happening in reality. I enjoyed this book very much.

He would go to Hell.... At the Iron Mountain Home for Boys, there was nothing but time. Time to burn and time to kill, time for two young orphans to learn that life isn’t won without a fight. Julian survives only because his older brother, Michael, is fearless and fiercely protective. When tensions boil over and a boy is brutally killed, there is only one sacrifice left for Michael to make: He flees the orphanage and takes the blame with him.

I drive distances to work and Audible is my favorite site for books and I've listened to many books over the past 15 years. This book kept my full attention and it's beautiful that I have my android phone with the new app.....I love it too. I almost wished I had to drive further each day to listen to more of this story, I hated to stop but got excited when I would walk back to my car to leave work and think, "Yippee, I get to listen to more of Iron House." This story had everything, drama, mystery, love story, family strength, and told in a very fine way. The reader, Scott Sowers, was terrific.
I'll get more of John Hart stories in the future.

Dead of night. Salonika, Greece, December 1939. A clandestine order of monks embarks on a desperate mission: to transport a mysterious vault to a hiding place high in the Italian Alps. Its sinister contents, concealed for centuries, could rip apart the Christian world. In the sample below, Ludlum tells a story about how The Gemini Contenders got him in trouble with the British military.

The story was engaging and exciting. I enjoyed everything about the plot and story line. The reader was well understood in all the character voices and voice was clear. I liked the little musical drama here and there, added to the story very well.

John Hart creates a literary thriller that is as suspenseful as it is poignant, a riveting murder mystery layered beneath the southern drawl of a humble North Carolina lawyer. When Work Pickens finds his father murdered, the investigation pushes a repressed family history to the surface and he sees his own carefully constructed facade begin to crack.

I loved the book and it kept my attention. You can't miss this audible book if you love suspense.

Passionate, earthy, deeply affecting, The Red Tent combines rich storytelling with a valuable contribution to modern fiction: a vibrant new perspective of female life in the age that shaped present day civilization and values.

If you like The Red Tent, try The Harlot by the Side of the Road, a recounting of some of the most startling and explicit writings from The Old Testament.

    Overall

Sorry, I was bored stiff just trying to get past all those birthings in the first part of the book that I just quit reading. Maybe there is something more later on but I just don't care to hear all the stuff of who gave birth to this and who gave birth to that...and about all the sex stuff....keep it to yourself it doesn't make good reading or listening. I for one would like to hear drama that isn't about body parts or body noises. Give me the human behaviors and the interactions that go on between people that are love, hate, jealousy, illusions, mistakes etc and make a good story about those types of incidents. Listening to hours of who gave birth to what and how their labor was just didn't appeal to me.
Maybe I'll go back someday and listen again but I'm looking for something else to read.
