For Lieutenant Eve Dallas of the NYPSD, the job is a useful reminder of what she has to be grateful for this season. Hosting Roarke's big Irish family for the holiday may be challenging, but it’s a joyful improvement on her own dark childhood. Other couples aren’t as lucky as Eve and Roarke. The Reinholds, for example, are lying on the floor of their Downing Street apartment, stabbed and bludgeoned almost beyond recognition. Those who knew them are stunned - and even more heartbroken by the overwhelming evidence that they were murdered by their own son.

Would you consider the audio edition of Thankless in Death to be better than the print version?

Most of the books that I own written by Robb are audio. I don't have any of the newer ones in print. I enjoy the audio

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

No. It was entertaining and dark. Even though you know who the killer is, I still found the book a thriller. Very violent, my daughter says she hated the fact that so much time was in the killer's head. I loved the graphic detail and the suspense. 2nd time listening and enjoying even more. I think it was one of the best, but they seem very different from her earlier books, I hope she isn't turning into a James Patterson

What about Susan Ericksen’s performance did you like?

Everything. She's wonderful and I purchase books that she is performing in, everyone should check out Montana Sky.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

There were crying moments with the award ceremony, comic moments with the sunglasses and the character of Eve is growing in such a positive way. I can see her as a parent as captain and as a sibling. I think we are going to meet more of Eve's family

    Any additional comments?

Can't wait until her next book

Sebastian Ballister, the notorious Marquess of Dain, is big, bad, and dangerous to know. No respectable woman would have anything to do with the "Bane and Blight of the Ballisters", and he wants nothing to do with respectable women. He's determined to continue doing what he does best - sin and sin again - and all's going swimmingly…until the day a shop door opens and she walks in.

Where does Lord of Scoundrels rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I have always loved this book. I was once at a table at a romantic times conference and we decided that Lord Dain was the best rake ever. This book did not leave me lacking. The humor and love story was better than anything I have ever listen too. I rank this #1

What did you like best about this story?

Jessica was remarkable, Dain so believable. This is Loretta Chase best book. The reader was amazing. You could picture each character as the reader embraced each person giving them life and feeling. This book is funny, sad, joyful and a wonderful story that has stood the test of time.

Have you listened to any of Kate Reading’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No, but I will look for others

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

    A Rake meets his match!

    Any additional comments?

Thank you, thank you and thank you for putting my favorite book on audio. I will listen to it always.
