Pia Grazdani, the embattled medical student from Death Benefit, decides to take a year off from her medical studies and escape New York City. Intrigued by the promise of the burgeoning field of medical technology and the chance to clear her head, Pia takes a job at Nano, LLC, a lavishly funded, security-conscious nanotechnology insititute in the picturesque foothills of the Rockies. Nano, LLC is ahead of the curve in the competitive world of molecular manufacturing, including the construction of microbivores, tiny nano-robots with the ability to gobble up viruses and bacteria. But the corporate campus is a place of secrets.

Would you be willing to try another one of George Guidall’s performances?

I did not like his voice at all, and he seemed to rush through the reading. Maybe he was as bored with it as I was!

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

I could not recommend this book to anyone. The story was weak, the characters unappealing, and the ending - wasn't! I slogged all the way through this and then found the author chose not to bring the story to a close.

    Any additional comments?

I keep thinking I will give Robin Cook's novels another chance because I enjoy medical thrillers and he is so well known. But this is the last one. Not worth the money.

In 1897, at the age of 50, Bram Stoker was touring manager to the actor Henry Irving and was enjoying a modest success as a journalist and writer. Publication in that year of Dracula was to bring him international and lasting fame.

    Story

I listen to this about once a year. First heard it on XM Radio on Book Radio channel and had to have a copy for my own. The story is a classic, of course, but the narrator really brings it to life. You will be glad to own this one!
