On The Power of Vulnerability, Dr. Brown offers an invitation and a promise - that when we dare to drop the armor that protects us from feeling vulnerable, we open ourselves to the experiences that bring purpose and meaning to our lives. Here she dispels the cultural myth that vulnerability is weakness and reveals that it is, in truth, our most accurate measure of courage.

    Story
If you could sum up The Power of Vulnerability in three words, what would they be?

    Year's best audiobook

What other book might you compare The Power of Vulnerability to and why?

I can't think of a book I loved as much as this one. Every chapter opened my eyes, strengthened me to live wholeheartedly, and made me laugh out loud at the same time. It was a joy. I will listen to this one repeatedly.

What does Brené Brown bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I listened to this entire book in two sessions, because I did not want to disconnect from Brene' Brown's engaging style and compelling message. The recording of her seminar as the material for this audio book is very effective.

What insight do you think you’ll apply from The Power of Vulnerability?

Living wholeheartedly, choosing discomfort over resentment, being present - possibly dancing in Nordstrom's should the music so move me. :)
