How do our thoughts and emotions affect our health? Are our bodies and minds distinct from one another, or do they function together as parts of an interconnected system? Neuroscientist Candace Pert provides startling and decisive answers to these and other challenging questions that scientists and philosophers have pondered for centuries. She explains the scientific basis of popular wisdom and phenomena like "gut feelings" and makes comprehensible recent discoveries in cancer and AIDS research.

    Story
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

More about her discoveries and less about her anger issues and boring life story.

What do you think your next listen will be?

    Not sure.

Which character – as performed by Candace B. Pert – was your favorite?

    None.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Molecules of Emotion?

    All except the ending.

    Any additional comments?

Candace Pert's book is more like a diary full of boring details about her life that only she would be interested in. I was interested in her discoveries, not her life dramas and anger issues. There was nothing to be learned from this book. It was a waste of time and money.

    Story
Would you listen to Healing Back Pain again? Why?

I have listened to it and Dr Sarno's other 2 books all day long for 5 weeks ago. It has healed my back pain and more. It also healed my husband's back pain and several friends of mine who got the book after I told them about it.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Healing Back Pain?

    Loved it all equally.

Have you listened to any of John E. Sarno’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I listened to all 3, but I think his last one The Divided Mind was my favorite.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

    Life Is Full of Pain

    Any additional comments?

Please thank Dr. Sarno for saving my life!
