One choice can transform you - or it can destroy you. But every choice has consequences, and as unrest surges in the factions all around her, Tris Prior must continue trying to save those she loves - and herself - while grappling with haunting questions of grief and forgiveness, identity and loyalty, politics and love.

Would you listen to Insurgent again? Why?

Oh yes! Simply because it is the best buy I have ever made on Audible! The story was great, the characters were great, and the reader was great!

Who was your favorite character and why?

Definitely Tobias (Four). He is the guy every man wishes he could be! Strong, courageous, and hansom!

Have you listened to any of Emma Galvin’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes, I've listened to Divergent. This one was better. Though not by a whole lot

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Definitely the Cliffhanger ending! Not gunna give any spoilers, but WOW!!!!!!

    Any additional comments?

Can't wait for the third book (Allegiant).

In Beatrice Prior's dystopian Chicago, society is divided into five factions, each dedicated to the cultivation of a particular virtue - Candor (the honest), Abnegation (the selfless), Dauntless (the brave), Amity (the peaceful), and Erudite (the intelligent). On an appointed day of every year, all sixteen-year-olds must select the faction to which they will devote the rest of their lives. For Beatrice, the decision is between staying with her family and being who she really is - she can't have both. So she makes a choice that surprises everyone, including herself.

Would you listen to Divergent again? Why?

Yes! The Story of Beatrice (Trice) is a ride! With her going from extreme to extreme in her Choosing ceremony! She is a great character and haves a good personality!

What other book might you compare Divergent to and why?

Mockingjay is probably the closest. It isn't like the Hunger Games but it reminds me more of Mockingjay.

What about Emma Galvin’s performance did you like?

She sounded like a young girl. Made Beatrice come to life.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Divergent: the story of love, loss, and luck.

Would you consider the audio edition of Catching Fire to be better than the print version?

Yes because the reader makes the story come to life in your head.

What did you like best about this story?

The return of Katniss, Peeta, and the other victors to the games.

What about Carolyn McCormick’s performance did you like?

    Her pitch and voice inflection.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

This book made me feel like a tribute in the games by connecting the reader with the characters and making you feel like you were in the Arena.

    Any additional comments?

Suzanne Collins outdoes her first book with this romantic, suspenseful, and heart ranching book!

Could you survive on your own, in the wild, with everyone out to make sure you don't live to see the morning? In the ruins of a place once known as North America lies the nation of Panem, a shining Capitol surrounded by 12 outlying districts. The Capitol is harsh and cruel and keeps the districts in line by forcing them all to send one boy and one girl between the ages of 12 and 18 to participate in the annual Hunger Games, a fight to the death on live TV.

If you could sum up The Hunger Games in three words, what would they be?

    Amazing, Attention-Grabbing, Wonderful

Who was your favorite character and why?

Katniss because she is the main character and though she has many shortcomings can still fight her way out of a sticky situation.

What does Carolyn McCormick bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She has a great way of bringing the story to life.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

    Yes. Definitely.
