Love this Guido Guerrieri books. I have read all of them, love the characters and the books.
Gives one insight into culture and a great read.
Informative-scary-thought provoking - seen through the eyes of a child. Feel it's important to understand the past of each country as the world grows smaller.
Loved the story-hey I am 63 we can all learn about the objects of our affection.
When asked to review book - realized I forgot I listened to it. Kept attention, same old chick book.
Laura Lippman - thought this was going to be a Tess Monahan who done it - not- but once I gave it a second chance and just listened - realized - harsh reality - ethic truths ended up loving it and well do not want to ruin the story.
George Pelecanos knows Washington, D.C. Great story - exciting - a lot of my friends feel he is brutal/ethnic/whatever just writes a good engaging story. The narrator Dion Graham makes one feel out of his mouth to ..ears.
I was so excited that I just bought the book without thinking (Anne River Siddons) how could it not be terrific I am a true fan of hers. Found this novel lacking in thought - intelligence - feeling. Yawn - took up too much time listening
Jo DeMarco series - yay! Interesting/exciting/more! The characters/locations - love the all of it. Joe Barrett did a great job narration .
The story has stuck with me/taught/informed about a time I did not know about.
Went out with some friends from Australia - they could not get over that I did not know the book 1951 and I did not feel it dated. Just explains so much about a country and humans.
Loved the book and narrator. Had to go back couple of times because the names were difficult for me to comprehend .Once I did that - could not stop listening / felt the countries/corruption/fear/love/thoughts. Congrats author you
did it all.
