Beautiful Caroline Crale was convicted of poisoning her husband, yet there were five other suspects: Philip Blake (the stockbroker), who went to market; Meredith Blake (the amateur herbalist), who stayed at home; Elsa Greer (the three-time divorcee), who had roast beef; Cecilia Williams (the devoted governess), who had none; and Angela Warren (the disfigured sister), who cried "wee wee wee" all the way home.

Agatha Christie loves to present brilliant character studies. Five Little Pigs is one of the most powerful examples, as it is a fascinating study of a long-dead person through the eyes of five completely different and opposing characters.
The Narrator gives a wonderful performance, giving you the essence of each character with a distinctive 'voice'.
I love a good murder mystery, but I love character studies even more, and his book delivers both in style.

In a world full to bursting with would-be heroes, Jim couldn't be less interested in saving the day. His fireballs fizzle. He's awfully grumpy. Plus, he's been dead for about 60 years. When a renegade necromancer wrenches him from eternal slumber and into a world gone terribly, bizarrely wrong, all Jim wants is to find a way to die properly, once and for all. On his side, he's got a few shambling corpses, an inept thief, and a powerful death wish. But he's up against tough odds....

Listening to Mogworld was a great experience. Yahtzee's sharp wit and insight into world of games drives this darkly funny book, and I laughed all the way through it.
It's great reading a book that truly escapes the clishe's of story structure - the anti-hero really does stay an anti-hero throughout, and while you expect Jim to save the world in the end, what actually happens is a lot more poignant and thought-out.

Black humour that anyone can appreciate, whether a gamer or not. I highly recommend it.
