This is a fabulous anthology of the first five novellas in the series. Very hot and sexy pairing that will melt your Kindle/iPod.

Each one is a mixed narrative going between the two leads POV and giving a full picture of their thoughts and feelings. If you like sassy girls and dominant men then you will love these yummy reads!!

I listened to the audiobook narrated by Carly Robins. She has a great tone and really brings the characters to life. A little more bass in the male voice would have been delicious. Great pace that makes the smexy read really flow. I really enjoyed her narration and definitely want to look for more!

    Dane (The MacKenzie Family #1)
This is a really quick and hot little read! When you have reunited lovers things can progress from "hello" to "Oh God Yes" in a snap. These two are combustible with enough chemistry to burn the lab down.

The story is thin but it holds together very well. Because this is such a short read it misses a lot of the build the story deserves. I would love to see this expanded to a full novel or even a novella. It would make the story all the sweeter in the end.

There are some story points that could have used time to be drawn out, then they would have had more impact. Forgiveness is to easy, this could have been drawn out over a longer time to really add to the joy of reunion.

The steam is hot as Hades!!! When lust has ten years to build things get smexy! For such a short book it packs a wallop in the bedroom or on the desk!!

Can't wait to read the other brothers!!

    Thomas (The MacKenzie Family #2)
Things happen really quickly in these novellas. This time we have a dishy doctor and a naughty cat burglar. Again combustible and very smexy! You have to suspend reality for a few things. Cause doctor/patient ethics are bent and you will have to believe a gal with a gunshot wound will be wanting to get busy. Not realistic but uber sexy!

I loved all Cat's sass and Thomas was so delicious!! I love a guy who knows what he wants and goes for it!! They are another super hot couple!!! Holy Hannah, these MacKenzie boys know how to throw down!!!

For such a short read the character's felt real, I just wish they had more build to the story. It would be great to see this expand into a novel. Really draw out the drama and intrigue!

Now I am ready for a little hot for teacher time with Riley!!

    Riley (The MacKenzie Family #3)
Oh my another hot and yummy read!! Ms Hart definitely believes in love/lust at first sight!! These kids meet and are automatically! Whoa mamma, things get smexy fast.

Riley is the kind of hot professor you always wish for!! I am sure I would not get any work done if her were my teacher!!

The smexy scenes are incredibly hot and might just burn the house down!! Loads of hot play and toys!!

The story this time has a little more meat on it and the meeting of the leads makes more sense. Love the mixed narrative, really helps you get into both character's heads.

    Cooper (The MacKenzie Family #4)
Love this smexy big brother!!! Who can resist a sexy officer with handcuffs. piercings and a treasure trove of toys!!! Yes, yes, Oh Gawd YES!!!

This story was a great mix of hot tension and a great little story. I could have done with a touch more build on the drama but it was a great read. I liked the whole club setting could have been hotter, there is so much more potential there.

This is a great way to end things for the hot brothers and I can not wait to read all the sexxy little extra stories I just discovered!!

A MacKenzie Christmas (The MacKenzie Family #5)
This is a new turn for the MacKenzie family, now we are moving on to the cousins. I know it is a novella but I would have loved more catch-up time with all the character's we love.

The story moves quickly as the leads have know each other for some time, makes the feelings more believable too. There are some super yummy bedroom scenes to heat up the read. Yum Yum!!

I can not wait to see what will happen with all Grant's siblings! I really hope we get to seem more of the past couples as the series progresses in this new direction. I love updates cause it is like visiting with old friends.

    Story

There is a lot of drama in this book, Jo and Cormac just can not be happy for more than a minute. Seriously, if it isn't her angst, it is his.

Once again everything is from her POV, so we have no idea what the big lug is thinking. It really limits the reader and leaves you to wonder, until Jo is told what is happening.

I really wanted to love this book, but there was more drag in the story than I generally like. We could have skipped much of the moping and posturing, it has all been done before. Jumping to the last third of the book brings the whole thing to a head. The battle could have been longer and more in depth. I was fine with the final resolution.

There is a bit of smexy, but not much. Just enough detail to make it NC-17 but not as far as an erotic read. The romance has build to this point, I would have liked a more hot bedroom action!! Cormac has definite Dom tendencies!!

I listened to the audiobook narrated by Laurel Schroeder, who is great. I love all the sass she add to Jo and the gruffness of Cormac. Great pace that keeps the story moving and accentuates the action scenes. She is terrific and a real credit to the series. I loved the emotion she was able to infuse into the read. I will definitely look for more of her work!

Overall I enjoyed the series, I just wish there were more of the aftermath. Fill us in on all the supporting characters we have come to love.

    Story

Wow!! What a great second book, really involved story line. Warning: There is a very raw scene of a rape. It is a tough bit to read.

Again, there is a bit going on in the story other than the main plot of the sex traffickers. That main plot is actually a fantastic plotline. There are plenty of different angle coming at Leine. Good thing she has all that experience from her old life. Too bad that past is catching up with her too.

The narrative is mixed going from several points of view. It is a terrific device for letting the reader in on all the intricacies of the plot. The switches are very well done and always clear when a new narrator is driving the tale. It is in large chunks, which keeps things from getting jumpy.

There is a bit more smexy time with Leine and yummy Santiago. A fair amount of detail to make a gal hot! Not as much as an erotic romance, but no where near closed bedroom door. While the love seems rather quick, I am willing to follow the lust and attraction between them. I can believe love later on in the series.

I really liked the supporting cast and all the dynamics between them. I can not say I was surprised by any of the turns in the plot. Sometimes that doesn't matter in a great story. I was riveted from beginning to end. I fell in love with shallow actor Miles, especially as he grew and found depth. It is really easy to feel for him and Mara the young runaway. You even feel for Selena, she isn't bad, just doing what she has to in order to survive.

I listened to the audiobook narrated by Kristi Alsip, who was fantastic. I was very happy with the change of narrator. She has a swift pace that adds energy to the read at key moments. I loved her voices and the consistency in them. She had great accents and choices to keep the voices distinct. I really hope she stays with the series. Her tone is slightly raspy and hold all the jaded world weariness of the lead character.

Overall, I was thrilled with this book. I did not want it to end. I was on the edge of my seat at the end of the book! Seriously a nailbitter! I hope there are more books to come!

Determined to leave her old life behind, retired assassin Leine Basso accepts a job working security at one of television's most popular reality shows, Serial Date. When a contestant is found dead in the prop closet, it appears the killer is one of the 'bachelors' on the show - an ex-con billed as a serial killer - but the detective in charge of the case isn't so sure. When Leine's estranged daughter is abducted by a man claiming to be the real killer, she's forced to rely on old skills to find her, and must come to terms with who she really is.

What a wonderfully engaging surprise this book was. Well written perfectly paced mystery. Leine is a real kick a$$ chick!! Plenty of wonderful twists to keep you on your toes. I love the book from beginning to end!! High suspense!!I would love to read more from this author!

The book is fast paced with a mixed narrative coming from several POV. Mostly it comes from Leine, who has a whole different sort of perspective! She is a tough as nails kind of gal, which is awesome!!! She really has a lot to work out from her past and the details of that past are handed out piece mail throughout the story. I really hoped for more info sooner.

The supporting cast is really great. A yummy homicide cop, a snarky daughter and a crazy serial killer. There are several dramas going on here other than the main plot, it is tricky to follow which intrigue is happening. lots of possible suspects along the way as well. It gets to be a bit much every now and again.

There is a bit of smexy action that is definitely open bedroom door!! Not full on erotic romance detail, but enough to get a gal hot 'n bothered. I could have done with a bit more of that action. It is a little early for the feeling though.

I would have liked more about this reality show. It has serious potential for chaos. There was also so much going on with Pete and the Senator. That probably could have been tabled to another book. It was distracting from the main plot of the serial killer. More with his crazy thought process and a bit of show on the taking/killing of the girls. It was pretty much all tell and no show.

I listened to the audiobook narrated by James Killavey, who I heard in other books. I enjoyed his read, but his bad guys sound very similar. Great pace that keeps the movement of the story, especially at points where things are slower. While I did not hate this read, it wasn't my favorite.

Overall, this was a great read and I am eager to see what happens next in the series. There is a whole lot of potential here. I can not wait to see how everything pans out in the next book.

A really thrilling end to the series. I love the whole tournament and everything Ari puts in place. She is finally taking the reigns and owning her title as head of 4 houses! She gets to deliver a few set downs along the way, I was like "You go Girl!"

I was a touch annoyed at all the guys loving and wanting her immediately. Thankfully it was explained later and made me less annoyed. I really wish there were more time spent on all the different races and their traits. That part was fascinating and really could have been expanded. Great world building though.

There are a lot of characters to track this time around. Almost too many with the contenders and their retainers on top of her keepers that we already knew. I felt like I needed a character sheet to really be able to follow everybody. At one point in the tournament I was totally confused who a character was and where he came from.

The mixed narrative is still chopping with lines here and there of a supporting POV. Maybe it is different in print, but in audio is is a bit jarring. I prefer only one POV or set sections of one character at a time. That is what works best for me as a reader. Still not a biggie, just an annoyance.

I found the conclusion really interesting and hope to check out the spin off! That should be awesome and I expect much banter!!

I listened to the audiobook narrated by Caprisha Page, who does a fantastic job. She has a very youthful quality to her voice that really works for Ari and her friends, she is also able to do the older voices justice. Whoa, that is a brisk read, I like to fast but others may want to slow it down a touch. Great energy throughout the read really adds to the action and suspense. I hope she does the spin-off audiobooks as well!!

I am sad the series is over but there is much that can happen with Nessa and Devin. I am eager to see them com out in audio too!!! This was a very intriguing series and a whole other take on vampires and supernaturals in general! Definitely a great read for any young adult interested in the genre!

Why does every YA series have to have a love triangle? It is like a prerequisite for the genre, teenage girls must be fraught with the decision to choose between two boys. Sigh. Alright, rant over.

Ari is getting more into her world, although a year after the last book left off she seems just as in the dark as before. I get annoyed because somethings are really clear and she doesn't pick up on them. Thankfully this book starts to give us more detail and gets more into the legend. So much world building is going into things it almost makes the head spin. There is a lot of information to absorb.

The narrative is still mostly Ari, with a few stray thoughts of others thrown in. This is still a bit jarring, it takes you out of the moment to have somebody else's POV popped in for just a sentence of two. I need more stability than that in my narrative. Still not enough to put me off reading, just a minor annoyance.

The whole love triangle is typical of this genre, although it feels like it might take an unexpected turn later on in the series. I am really enjoying her choice in Keepers and was thrilled about her Dearg-dul pick. Exactly what I felt it should have been!!

I listened to the audiobook narrated by Caprisha Page, who rocks!! I love her choices in the voices for the guys. She makes some very smart decisions with accent and tone to keep them distinct. She has a very swift pace, I almost didn't need to speed it up for listening. Her energy really feeds into the movement of the story and keeps it popping! I am a huge fan of her read for this series! She is definitely well suited to YA reads!

The book leaves of not so much at a cliffhanger but not a real ending. As I suspected the trilogy relies heavily on the books being read in succession. It is an engaging read and I am really hoping everything will be revealed in the third book. Ari is just starting to come in to her true power and gain confidence in that strength. I can not wait to see her after a bit of training taking on all challenges.

This is a really sweet romance. Closed bedroom door and minimal heat. Sometimes a girl just wants a PG love story and this fits the bill.

Grace is a wound a bit tight, but that is one of the fun things about her. She is sassy and steadfast. I love the way she defines people by their names. Seth is the perfect match for her with his playful attitude and fly by the seat of his pants plans. They have a great dynamic.

The book is a mixed POV, you get the narrative from both leads. The swaps go smoothly and are more chapter to chapter. It is great getting into both their heads. It sells the feelings of the romance.

While I enjoyed this book more time was spent on the build than the actual times as a couple. That gets glossed over and relegated to a tell and not show. I would have liked more time with them together rather than just the last few chapters.

I love the supporting cast and the side romance, again more detail there would have been nice.I liked this story and it was a very easy read, but I did want a little more story in the end.

I listened to the audiobook narrated by Laura Princiotta, who was lovely. She had just the right notes to her voice to make the characters come to life. Fantastic pace kept up with the movement of the story and added energy to the key moments. The voices were consistent and easy to follow when dialogue was snappy. She gives good ears!

Overall, this was a delightful story that was a safe read. Great depth to the romance and fun banter. I always enjoy this author's sweet reads!

One popular type of yoga today is Korean Yoga. Yoga is a several-thousand-year-old tradition that has pervaded multiple countries and cultures, evolving and branching into numerous subgroups and styles. Although the roots of the practice are in South Asia, mainly inside of India, there are major schools of yoga across the globe. One very divergent method of practicing yoga is the Korean technique. Avoiding most of the traditional poses inherent in Indian Hatha yoga, Korean yoga more closely resembles Zumba and Tai-Chi in certain aspects.

This is a really interesting series. I liked the main character Ari straight off. She is not an overly angsty teen, yeah! Although, she takes things much calmer than I might in the same situation!

She is thrown into a strange new world pretty quickly. One of the things that annoys me in this book is that she gets to learn about what she is but the reader does not. You hear about her studies but there is very little detail given back about what she learned. It is something that really bothered me, I wanted to understand all the nuances of her new world and felt cheated when I was left out of the details.

The narrative is mostly from Ari's POV, but there are a few times when others chine in. Those moments were a bit confusing because they were only a sentence here and there in the middle of the existing narration. I would say either stick top one POV or make it mixed with whole sections of the other character's thoughts. Otherwise it is jarring and too jumpy.

The world is really rich and interesting. A lot comes at you in a short time and there are many supporting characters to keep track of. I love her friends and her keepers. It will be interesting to see the whole story evolve. I am still eager to hear what the entire legend is about her!

I listened to the audiobook narrated by Caprisha Page, who is terrific. I love the energy she puts into the read and her swift pace. Her voices are consistent and help to relieve some of the confusion when another character takes on the narrative. She has a sweet and sassy quality to her read that fits the character perfectly. I hope she stays with the whole series!

Overall, this book was intriguing. There is still so much to learn about the characters and the legend. It definitely ends with many loose threads. This trilogy is most likely best read in order and without any waiting.
