The South American Boreal: one of the last truly unexplored jungles on our planet. In its dark heart is an ancient crater basin, sealed in by a living cage, making it a time capsule for an ancient, deadly ecosystem. Matt Kearns, Carla Nero and a team of scientist explorers have found their way in. In the crater's sunken interior are creatures from a primordial nightmare. Dangers lurk in every treetop, under every rock or loom monstrously over them. It is a place where mankind is out of time.

Wow, what an episode this was. It really keeps your interest, the characters a well written and you can't help but react to what they are going through. I was also totally creeped out - it just had to be spiders and BFS at that.
Sean Mangan did a fantastic job with these books, I really look forward to listening to more of his work. I felt like I was there with the characters.

I really enjoyed this book. The chapters are short which I like. The story is well written and thought out. It's action packed and a definitely page turner. I look forward to reading the other books in the series.

The narrator does a wonderful job of immersing the listener into the story, keeping you listening.

When several young girls are abducted from various locations in Edinburgh, Detective John Granger and his brother Alan, a reporter, investigate the cases from different directions. The abductor is cunning, always one step ahead, and the only clue he leaves behind at each scene are the brutalized corpses of black swans.

Every time I listen to an audiobook written by William Meikle I think to myself, I must listen to more. He never ceases to grab my attention and keep me listening, this book was no different. John & Alan Granger are brothers, one is a police officer, the other a reporter who are both investigating the suspicious disappearance of a child, but all is not what it seems. The characters are solid, you can't help but feel for them and hope for a positive outcome. I loved them, although I did had a bit of a soft spot for Alan.

William Meikle also makes perfect choices for the narrators of his books, he always seems to find just the right voice for each of the books I've listened too. This was my first time listening to anything narrated by Chris Barnes but it will definitely not be the last. His voice is quite hypnotic and once I started listening I just had to finish. The writing and narration were a perfect mix, it just immerses you into the story, it was hard to believe that I wasn't actually in Scotland. A definite 'must listen'

You were on your way home when you died.It was a car accident. Nothing particularly remarkable, but fatal nonetheless. You left behind a wife and two children. It was a painless death. The EMTs tried their best to save you, but to no avail. Your body was so utterly shattered you were better off, trust me.And that’s when you met me." A short story about the universe.

When I started listening to this short story and I do mean short...8 minutes, I didn't have many expectations. Who can really write anything of substance that lasts 8 minutes? The answer - Andy Weir can. This is a thought-provoking story and just cements the knowledge that Andy Weir is a fantastic writer.
R.C.Bray's performance is brilliant as ever. If anyone can make you believe what you are listening too, especially in 8 minutes, it's Bray. The writing and narration really compliment each other, so much so, I'm going to listen to it again, right now.

Dodge is back for a new adventure and it might possibly be better than his first. Dodge, Molly, Hurricane and Padre are thrust into a whirlwind race against time to save the world, will they success? Can they? And at what cost? Some interesting new characters are introduced and as always you are kept guessing as to who is friend or foe. Jeffrey S. Fellin does a remarkable job of bringing the world of Dodge Dalton to life, grabbing the listeners attention and not letting go until the end. His performance of the different characters is impressive, with just slight variations to his tone he can change the whole feel of the situation. Definitely going on the repeat listen pile.

This was a really fun listen, suitable for both teens and adults. I'm going to let my nephew have a listen too as I think he'll really like it. A bully gets his comeuppance, and two boys go on a journey to help him. Climbing mountains and meeting mystical creatures. Wayne Farrell is fantastic, the performances of the characters is so different to the narration, he really does a wonderful job of separating the two. Grabbing the listeners attention. I listened to it in one sitting.

In a broken world there exists a strange and sinister eating establishment unlike anything known or imagined - referred to in some quarters as Cafe Grotesquerie - where only the most discriminating and well-connected are privileged enough to enter its doors and devour its dark delicacies. Once inside, however, status still reigns supreme, and for one particular couple - Audrey and Aubrey - a hunger for power proves far more desirable than anything on the menu. But when confronted by the suspicious disappearance of their waiter, and civilization collapsing all around them, will they even be able to make it through dessert?

The best way to describe this collection of short stories is weird but wonderful. The writing is good and the narration is smooth. Wayne Farrell is good with strange, their is just something about his voice that suits that type of story. His narration is attention grabbing and it keeps you paying attention until the end. Definitely give it a try.

What a great, fun listen. I honestly could not stop listening. Lots of action and extremely well written. Robinson & Holloway are a fascinating combination. I would strongly recommend listening to the other Chess Team/ Jack Sigler Thrillers before picking this one up as it does have some major spoilers that happen in those, however, if you don't mind spoilers go ahead and get this. I can guarantee you will not be sorry.

Jeffrey Kafer is King, I can't imagine anyone else voicing him now. Even when I read, in my mind when King speaks, it's Kafer's voice I hear. He goes a fantastic job of bringing the story alive, how he manages all those difficult pronunciations is beyond me. A first class performance.
