Even though this is a short story, if you have followed Samantha Young's series this is a MUST. You get a glimpse of the plot in a previous story but this gives you the inside scoop. With all the ups, downs and angst. Paula Costello is so perfect for Joss and Braden. She brought Joss to life no question.
Again the narration was spot on. Great story and brought in more characters for some great spin offs with Hannah's brothers. Hope they get the next one out soon.
Loved everything about this. The story line was different and refreshing. Narration was great. Can't wait to listen to the second one. The H/h were perfect together. Not perfect people but perfect for each other.
I really liked this and hope it is a start to a great series. Characters were believable and the story was just hard core enough without going over the line for me except........I really hate, hate , HATE it when an author has a grown women calling her lover daddy, or a grown man wanting to be called daddy. Maybe it just an issue for me but that makes a hot scene go creepy in a hurry.Yuk, Love the narrator, didn't take a minute to figure out why lol. Would know that voice and great narration no matter what name she uses. Overall I will be buying the second in the series.
This was not AWFUL but, if you are looking for a dramatic hard biker story pass on this one. The H was likable enough, but the h was unbearable. She was one second prudish and the next having a conversation with a naked guy cooking breakfast, REALLY. Scared to death to live in a biker compound, then her curiosity is soooo great she goes out in t-shirt/nightie to see what a noise is. I just don't think so. No real climatic drama just a plodding along story. Just didn't do it for me. Looking for a great biker story try Raine Falling by Paula Marinaro.
Wow, this, is a really hard review for me to do. Liked the plot, even though it was predictable. The narration was really hard for me, Abby C had way to much angst in her voice ALL the time so when it was needed for the story line it didn't really make an impression. Sean wasn't bad either but did not fit the character, every sentence felt like a graph, high to low high to low he would be better suited for a story about a PI in the thirties or something. These guys need a Phil G with the deep sexy voice. I felt the females were just a bit too high school for being thirty. Izzy was the worst, the love of your life, made plain multiple times, walks back into your life and you want to shun him and not get any answers, wow I don't think so. I really would like to go to the next book but not sure I can get thru another several hours with these narrators. I will most likely try, just to see if all the soft, breathy I'm so hurt voice is carried over to the next story. If so it will be my last I will buy the kindle edition.
This is about the most realistic portrayal of a mc that I have read. Having been married to a club member , I do have some personal knowledge. That is not to say that all clubs are the same. The guys really are like this, rough, bossy, drinkers, smokers, some are good guys at heart some are really, reallly not, but you will never run across a more loyal bunch of people then a mc. That being said as an opinion from my own experiences the one thing that made me laugh a little was how good looking all the guys were. Its okay because it is fiction so hey why not, but really most of the guys I knew were not tall, dark and handsome. I loved the characters, I loved the story line it was believable. There was a lot of introspection but I think it was needed. The narration was great I cant wait for the next instalment of the Hells Saints mc. Hope you use the same narrators.
Sorry I still like pnr but you know there really isn't a lot more to say in that genre. Now give me a hard body Russian mafia bad boy!! I got hooked reading Her Russian Protector series by Roxie Rivera and WOW. This book by Kresley Cole was FANTASTIC. I was a little bummed by the three part to one book thing. I hope she makes a series out of this but not in chaplets, it costs us the listeners more and for no real reason. I loved the H/h and the narrator was great.
Long, drawn out, and BORING. Not much else to say really. Just could not get into this one . Synopsis sounded interesting but that is as far as it went for me.
Thea Harrison just cant go wrong when writing about the elder races. This was beautiful and heart warming. Every time I Iisten to the newest in the elder races series I cringe hoping this is not the last one.Thea not only writes a story with wonderful characters that have real depth, edgy romance (we should all be so lucky), but the political dynamics of this fantasy world WOW, just WOW. Keep up the great work with the stories and Sophie Eastlake is the superb voice for all these characters, you could not have a better narrator for the elder series.
Again, good plot, hot Russians, good narration. Can't wait for Sergei and Nikolai to have their stories.
