The once red and barren terrain of Mars is now green and rich with life - plant, animal, and human. But idyllic Mars is in a state of political upheaval, plagued by violent conflict between those who would keep the planet green and those who want to return it to a desert world.

"How To Create A worker's paradise on mars"
    Overall

This book was a complete waste of time, a soap box for the author to play house with a bunch of communists, using contrived dialog, situations and events to create a new version of the glorious October Revolution.

The Soviet revolution ultimately failed, as does this novel.

Persecuted refugees from six separate alien races have migrated to the idyllic planet Jijo. And despite their incredible diversity, the inhabitants live together in blissful harmony. However, settlement on Jijo is illegal - and it's only a matter of time before the residents of this forbidden paradise are discovered by the galactic powers-that-be.

"Had to force myself to listen"
    Overall

I tried to like this one. I really did. I made it thru the first three hours before I just had to stop.

The naration is horrible - the voice characterizations are annoying and frustrating - like listening to someone try to talk with a mouth full of honey.

The story wasn't any better. Plodding, fractured, and going no where.
