Stephen King returns to the characters and territory of one of his most popular novels ever, The Shining, in this instantly riveting novel about the now middle-aged Dan Torrance (the boy protagonist of The Shining) and the very special 12-year-old girl he must save from a tribe of murderous paranormals. This is an epic war between good and evil, a gory, glorious story that will thrill the millions of hyper-devoted fans of The Shining and wildly satisfy anyone new to the territory of this icon in the King canon.

After just reading The Shining for the first time then going straight to Doctor Sleep it was a fun ride indeed. Doctor Sleep did exactly what I need an audio book to do...make me not want to get out of the car when I get home and look forward to getting in the car the following morning to listen some more. The story was great. Just when I thought I had figured something out I was surprised all over again. I just finished the book and am already sad because I will miss listening on the way home. I truly loved this book.

Caleb Parker has been on the run from his past ever since his father, a serial murderer known by the name of Shame, was electrocuted by the state of Florida. Wishing for nothing more than to start life anew and away from the dark shadows of his past, Caleb tries to distance himself from his father’s legacy by moving to California. But even when he’s far from his father’s killing grounds, the past catches up with Caleb when a new series of murders occurs - reminiscent of Shame’s brutal handiwork. Once more Caleb is thrust into the spotlight - only this time as the prime suspect.

I have listened to hundreds of books and it is very rare for me to choose to stop listening mid-book. It got to the point where I was shaking my head saying "let's see - he is going to do so something else he shouldn't do so they think he is guilty". I couldn't stand it anymore. I just don't care how it ends...cause if it was up to me - with the choices he made in the book - I would find him guilty and put him away myself. What a waste of a good credit.

From #1 New York Times-best-selling author Nora Roberts comes a novel of a woman who needs nothing, a man who sees everything, and the web of deceit, greed, and danger that brings them together - and that could tear them apart… As a professional house-sitter and freelance writer, nothing ties Lila Emerson down - not her work, not a home, and definitely not a relationship. She spends her life moving from one job to the next, sometimes crashing at a friend 's Manhattan apartment. And though she can appreciate her clients ' extraordinary homes, their expensive collections, and their adorable pets, Lila has never longed for possessions of her own. Everything she has, including her heart, is portable.

I fell in love with the characters instantly. I thought the story was great and felt a sense of loss when it ended. I will actually miss listening. I thought the narrator was perfect and could not wait to get in my car and continue to listen.

With the legends and lore of Ireland running through his blood, falconer Connor O’Dwyer is proud to call County Mayo home. It’s where his sister, Branna, lives and works, where his cousin, Iona, has found true love, and where his childhood friends form a circle that can’t be broken. A circle that is about to be stretched out of shape - by a long-awaited kiss. Meara Quinn is Branna’s best friend, a sister in all but blood. Her and Connor’s paths cross almost daily, as Connor takes tourists on hawk walks and Meara guides them on horseback across the lush countryside.

I try not to give negative reviews but the narration on this book was just so bad it made it hard to listen to the story. I truly hope that the third and final book will have a different narrator. The story was ok - somewhat predictable but I am such a Nora Roberts fan she can do no wrong...

Jo Ellen Hathaway thought she had escaped the house long ago. It was where she spent her loneliest years, after her family was shattered by the sudden, unexplained disappearance of her mother.

But now, the sprawling resort off the coast of Georgia haunts her dreams. Even more haunting are the pictures that someone is sending her - strange close-ups, candid shots, and finally, the most shocking and heartbreaking portrait of all: a photograph of her long-lost mother. . . naked, beautiful, and dead.

"Gideon Cross came into my life like lightning in the darkness… He was beautiful and brilliant, jagged and white-hot. I was drawn to him as I’d never been to anything or anyone in my life. I craved his touch like a drug, even knowing it would weaken me. I was flawed and damaged, and he opened those cracks in me so easily…Gideon knew. He had demons of his own. And we would become the mirrors that reflected each other’s most private wounds…and desires."

I can't believe I am as old as I am and have never read anything by Stephen King. Well I would have to say the wait was worth it. This book was fantastic. The narration could not be better. I have listened to and read many "thrillers" and not one had me actually scared. The way the story was told kept me wanting more. This may have been my first but it certainly won't be my last. Can't wait for the next one.

Her career in homicide has taken her into the darkest depths of New York City’s underground - and sometimes Lieutenant Eve Dallas feels more comfortable in those kinds of places than in the high-rise, high-society world of her billionaire husband, Roarke. But while she’s no party girl, she’s managing to have a reasonably good time at the celebrity-packed bash celebrating the debut of The Icove Agenda. This time it’s Eve, not Roarke, who’s a guest of honor, since the film is based on one of her famous cases. Her partner, Peabody, is practically giddy....

What did you love best about Celebrity in Death?

I have listened to each and every book in this series and this story seemed like the old characters were as they should be.

Who was your favorite character and why?

All of them - I feel like I know them

What does Susan Ericksen bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She makes the book if you ask me - she is amazing
