Would you consider the audio edition of Brisingr to be better than the print version?

I can't compare the two, I only have the audio version.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Brisingr?

    Eragon learning about his parents.

Have you listened to any of Gerard Doyle’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I've only heard Doyle's performances in the Eragon series, but I thought this book was his best performance ever!

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

All is fair in love and war.

What did you love best about Eldest: The Inheritance Cycle, Book 2?

I loved the growth and depth of the characters. The double, sometimes triple story line was well written and easy to follow. The number of characters is amazing

Who was your favorite character and why?

I came to appreciate Roain more in this story. He begins as a simple young man looking for a job and family, and becomes the leader of his community, making the difficult decisions that leaders have to. It's serves as a reminder of the difficult decisions all of us have to make.

Which character – as performed by Gerard Doyle – was your favorite?

Sopheria - her gruff female dragon voice has to be difficult and then to show playfulness, anger, concern, and shame - outstanding job!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I love the twist at the end of the story. I can't w a it to begin listening to Resingr.

When Eragon finds a polished blue stone in the forest, he thinks it is the lucky discovery of a poor farm boy; perhaps it will buy his family meat for the winter. But when the stone brings a dragon hatchling, Eragon realizes he has stumbled upon a legacy nearly as old as the Empire itself.

What made the experience of listening to Eragon the most enjoyable?

The narration and writing make Eragon an outstanding listen. The details in the story show depth, insight, and planning. The narrator's voices are excellent (although it did take me awhile to adjust to such a masculine female Dragon voice!)

Who was your favorite character and why?

Eragon and Sopheria of course. Eragon is a wonderfully typical young man and Sopheria is a wise playful kitten.

What does Gerard Doyle bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

His voice for all the different characters was excellent. Listening allows me to spend more time creating each scene in my head, with more detail, than just reading does.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

An enchanting tale of dwarfs, dragons, elves and men.

Would you listen to Heart of the Sea again? Why?

I would listen to this story again - I would listen to the trilogy again. I've already started. I love the pictures of Ireland that they paint and it's folklore. I want to visit the places mentioned in the book. I want to sit in the new music hall and listen to the music.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Heart of the Sea?

The picture painted by the description of how the new Music Hall will blend with the old Tavern. It made me want to visit there.

Have you listened to any of Patricia Daniels’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I've only heard her in this series, but she did an excellent job.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, I didnt want to stop listening, but if I don't stop listening when I'm driving, I run out of storoes to listen to. For the second read, I listened while I sewed! :)

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

I was surprised by the wordiness of this book. It's not that she's giving too much detail, it's just wordy. I would not reccommend this book.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

I would use more interaction between the characters instead of using so many words.

How could the performance have been better?

I different reader. Better separatation of the voices. Sometimes it's hard to tell which character is speaking. This male struggles with the main female character. Not good.

What did you love best about Three Fates?

I love the intertwining of the relationships with the fates.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I love the Irish family. The personalities of the individual members were realistic of what real family relationships are.

Have you listened to any of Bernadette Quigley’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

This was the first time I've listening to Bernadette Quigley and I thought she did a wonderful job handling all the different characters. I always knew who was speaking.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I didn't listen to this in one sitting, but I did extend my listening by an hour twice. My audible account is my luxury because I travel for work and these books help pass the time.

    Any additional comments?

Another hit for Nora Roberts - well done!

If you could sum up The Battle of the Labyrinth: Percy Jackson, Book 4 in three words, what would they be?

    exciting, surprising, unexpected

What other book might you compare The Battle of the Labyrinth: Percy Jackson, Book 4 to and why?

The Percy Jackson books, and the Artimis Fowl book are similar in the fact that they are both mystery books aimed at pre-teens. Both are great books that more students should read and great examples of written literacy.

What didn’t you like about Jesse Bernstein’s performance?

He needs to work on differencing between the characters. Develop more voices. His reading is smooth - just not attention grabbing.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Not particularly, due to the reader, but the story line is good.

Where does The Witness rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I am a great fan of the "in Death" books by J D Robb aka Nora Roberts. Since I am an avid reader/listener, I usually read/listen faster than they write. Another favorite author is James Patterson. I would rate this book right up there with those books.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

See, the twists the turns, the control exhibited by the title character.

Which character – as performed by Julia Whelan – was your favorite?

The title character. Julia needs to work on the leading man.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I cried at the relationship of the main character and her mother. I laughed at her reaction to his family.
