Stop all the cheesy lines in the book. The book had an interesting plot and the main guy character was suppose to be cool. However, I found it difficult to believe it when he kept saying really cheesy lines.
Another thing is that the author kept stating out the most obvious points. It made me felt stupid and talked down to.
Not really. Not unless there is no other books to listen to.
Yes. She did a fantastic job.
To write this review.
I am unsure as I have not read the book. However, I found it difficult to distinguish between the characters during the story. If I wasn't concentrating enough everyone seems to just blend together.
The big difference between this book and other more recently written romances is that it is not full of sex scenes. This I found rather refreshing.
I don't have a favorite.
Not really. Maybe if it was read by someone else.
I cannot comment since I have not read the print version.
Cain. Even though he had been through so much, he was still a kind and decent guy.
Sebastian. He had an easy voice to listen to.
Elisabeth's performance was great but there were times when I found her voice a pitch too high for my comfort.
Worth the credit!
Middle. Not the best book and not the worse I have listened to.
But I think it is amazing how much hard work she has put in to her family.
I can't think of one.
I can't think of one.
No. But I found it difficult to laugh at some of Kim's humor. I just found it snarky at times.
Yes. If they would like a typical romance.
Iain. He sounds like a really nice sweet capable guy.
None that I can think of.
It was a entertaining romance. No surprises.
Nope. I am not sure if it is the writing or Jill Redfield, but it was painful to listen to Jill speak in a male voice and the character sounded more like a dumb jock.
Nope. See above.
It was easy to differentiate the characters. But her male voice is not very attractive. Instead of sounding smart and sexy, she comes off as dumb and too much of a "try hard."
Rewrite the characters' dialogues and change the narrator.
Nope. I bought this audiobook because I wanted to understand more about surrogate partner as a profession. Although I am no saint, there were some parts where I found it difficult to understand the choices Cheryl made and weirdly enough, I found my self angry during parts of the audiobook.
The brutal honesty and how strong Cheryl was.
It was alright.
When Cheryl and her mother mended their relationship.
Cheryl is amazing.
Nope. It was a good story but for some reason I did not enjoy the main female character.
I can't think of any one.
The first time the main characters met.
Not really. I did felt some mild annoyance with the main female character at times. This is especially the case when her actions hurt the main male character.
It was a good story overall.
The combination of interesting characters and fantastic narrator made it difficult to pause this story.
The main characters were not your stock standard type and the witty dialogue.
Beauty and the beast???
Get the audiobook. You won't regret it.
Nicholas Boulton did a fantastic job, however I am quite wary about trying another Laura Kinsale's book.
The main female character was not very likeable. I could not finish the book since I did not care for the character at all.
No idea. He did a fine job.
Disappointment and annoyance. Disappointment because the book had good reviews and I had high hopes. Annoyance whenever the main female character appeared. I don't even know why the main male likes her.
