There is nothing Connor Malone wants to do less than babysit the outrageous and out-of-control pop star Lyric Jones. But part of him relishes taming the celebratty songstress and showing her what it's like to be possessed - body and soul - by one man. And though Lyric's crazy antics nearly drive Connor to the edge, his quiet intensity penetrates her defenses, leaving them both vulnerable to the secrets that could topple Lyric from the stage.

What would have made Sweet Possession better?

A different reader and a better plot. I love Maya Banks but this was too Hallmark Channel for me.

What could Maya Banks have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

This seemed more geared to teenagers except for the explicit sex.

Would you be willing to try another one of Caroline Wintour’s performances?

    No.

What character would you cut from Sweet Possession?

I wasn't enchanted by any of them.

    Any additional comments?

    It was a pretty predictable.

Is there anything you would change about this book?

I thought the first half of the book was slow and boring. Just didn't seem like a Molly Harper book. It got marginally better toward the middle. I usually love her books and enjoy a great laugh. I couldn't seem to care about the two main characters.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

    More love story--more fun.

Have you listened to any of Amanda Ronconi’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes I have listened to about six other books and enjoyed them all especially Driving Mr. Dead.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

    Yes but with reservation.

    Any additional comments?

If this is your first Molly Harper listen please try another book.

Bonnie and Clyde, they thought. And what's-his-name, the sidekick. Three teenagers with dead-end lives, and chips on their shoulders, and guns. The first person they killed was a highway patrolman. The second was a woman during a robbery. Then, hell, why not keep on going? As their crime spree cuts a swath through rural Minnesota, some of it captured on the killers' cell phones and sent to a local television station, Bureau of Criminal Apprehension investigator Virgil Flowers joins the growing army of cops trying to run them down.

If you could sum up Mad River in three words, what would they be?

    Skillful writing and wonderful narration.

What did you like best about this story?

I am captivated by this protagonist. I have read all the Virgil Flowers books and he is just such an interesting "hero". He is not a super tough guy although he can certainly take care of himself. He is a philosopher of sorts. His childhood as a preacher's son in a solid middle class family adds an interesting depth to the detective role. In some ways he reminds me of Columbo. He just ambles about asking questions until we get an insight into his keen mind. This time he is after a trio of young homicidal maniacs. Sandford has a way of making his characters come to life for me.

Which character – as performed by Eric Conger – was your favorite?

    Virgil.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I loved that Virgil ignored what was professionally good for him and politically correct to stand up for what was right.

    Any additional comments?

This is a great series. Read them all.

What did you love best about The Darkest Hour?

The storyline is interesting and kept me hooked. I loved the narration. Must admit I have listened to this book twice. If you enjoy this book please check out the remaining books in the series.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Yes. It was very suspenseful to know that Racheal would at some time remember her past relationship with Ethan and wondering how everyone would react.

What about Harry Berkeley’s performance did you like?

FANTASTIC!!!! His voice is very masculine for very macho males and he also does femaile voices well. I was disappointed that they did not use Mr. Berkeley for the lastest in the series.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

    A husband's redemption.

What did you love best about Samson's Lovely Mortal?

I have read all the Scanguards Vampire Novels and loved them all. I was delighted to see this one on Audible. I bought it and am thoroughly enjoying the experience. I like the comaraderie of the group of vampires that form Scanguards.

What does Kevin Foley bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

    Good job.

Iris Scanlon, Half-Moon Hollow's only daytime vampire concierge, knows more about the undead than she'd like. Running all their daylight errands - from letting in the plumber to picking up some chilled O neg - gives her a look at the not-so-glamorous side of vampire life. Her rules are strict; relationships with vamps are strictly business, not friendship - and certainly not anything else. But then she finds her newest client, Cal, poisoned on his kitchen floor, and only Iris can help.

If you could sum up The Care and Feeding of Stray Vampires in three words, what would they be?

Funny. Romantic. Quick paced. Whoops more than three words.

What other book might you compare The Care and Feeding of Stray Vampires to and why?

Molly Harper books are all so clever. I also loved Driving Mr. Dead. I have enjoyed the vampies more than the werewolves.

Have you listened to any of Amanda Ronconi’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I haven't listened to her before but I certainly will in the future. Her voice is unusual and sooo perfect for the read. She does male characters perfectly.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

    Funny girl and delicious vampire.

When literature student Anastasia Steele goes to interview young entrepreneur Christian Grey, she encounters a man who is beautiful, brilliant, and intimidating. The unworldly, innocent Ana is startled to realize she wants this man and, despite his enigmatic reserve, finds she is desperate to get close to him. Unable to resist Ana’s quiet beauty, wit, and independent spirit, Grey admits he wants her, too—but on his own terms.

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

I loved the trilogy. Battoe ruined this for me. What a huge mistake. Her voice is "valley girl". She makes Christian sound like a seal on drugs. The worst interpretation of an audible book I have heard.

What other book might you compare Fifty Shades of Grey to and why?

For me Fifty Shades stands alone in this genre.

What didn’t you like about Becca Battoe’s performance?

    Nothing.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Fifty Shades of Grey?

    None.

    Any additional comments?

This is such an explosive cultural phenomina. Can't we have a redo with a real artist. Bartoe should stick with kid's books.

Virgil's always been known for having a somewhat active, er, social life, but he's probably not going to be getting too many opportunities for that during his new case. While competing in a fishing tournament in a remote area of northern Minnesota, he gets a call from Lucas Davenport to investigate a murder at a nearby resort.

What made the experience of listening to Rough Country the most enjoyable?

John Sandford's writing and Eric Conger's reading. Eric brings the writing alive. He is more of an actor than an attractive voice just reading the words.I

What was one of the most memorable moments of Rough Country?

Virgil Flower has a way with women. I loved the scene where he is starting to embed himself into the investigation by getting to know the locals. This time he gets it wrong and is trying to seduce a lesbian.

What about Eric Conger’s performance did you like?

This is by far the best reading of ANY artist. Conger's reading of all the Virgil Flower's books is spot on.

    Any additional comments?

Listen to all the Flower's books and Eric Conger---What a treasue!
