I was deeply disappointed with this one. The narrator was absolutely horrible and the story line seemed a bit confusing and hard to follow.
Extremely distracting and added to the confusion.
First time with this author and not likely to repeat it.
Great novel. Brett Battles continues to hit the mark.
The story line flows and I like how the author takes you thru the story as if you are right there.
Gabriel is awesome!
The sense of loyalty and the need to see something to the end no matter the cost.
Absolutely fabulous! Can't imagine listening without him reading.
Keep it coming!

This is my second book by W.E.B. Griffin and I was a little disappointed in terms of US Embassy infrastructure. I am a Former Special Agent of the US State Department and the author referred to the Ambassador and Chief Of Mission (COM). Last I checked this was one in the same and it made reading a bit confusing. The number two at an Embassy is the DCM or Deputy Chief Of Mission. There was also a reference to the Embassy Security Officer. This position is staffed by members of the Bureau of Diplomatic Security and the training is rather impressive. A reference was made that the only investigative experience that the Security Officer would have was minimal. Having been there and done that I could not disagree more. The last part was the use of Marine Security Guards. I have nothing but respect for Marines however when they are posted to Embassy Duty they are not allowed to do the things depicted in the book which would be contrary to their mission. Overall I did like the book and plan to continue listening to the rest of the series.
Dick's performance was outstanding!
As outlined above and I may be getting too technical and a bit of professional pride when the Security Officer was portrayed in the wrong way as if to say that he was not qualified.
I have to put him at even as there is only a limited number of authors I listen to.
