  • 11-22-63: A Novel

    Story

On November 22, 1963, three shots rang out in Dallas, President Kennedy died, and the world changed. What if you could change it back? In this brilliantly conceived tour de force, Stephen King - who has absorbed the social, political, and popular culture of his generation more imaginatively and thoroughly than any other writer - takes listeners on an incredible journey into the past and the possibility of altering it.

The book is good but the way Craig Wasson hooks you into the story gives this book a five star. I have trouble letting go... it is hard to press the stop button and leave the story in suspence. My hat goes off the both Stephen King and Craig Wasson because the combination off these is a pure winner. Thank you!

Why we think it’s a great listen: If you’ve ever loved a dog - or even patted a dog - this book, told from the perspective of man’s best friend, will tug at your heartstrings...and won’t let go until long after Welch performs the last word. Enzo knows he is different from other dogs: a philosopher with a nearly human soul (and an obsession with opposable thumbs), he has educated himself by watching television extensively and by listening very closely to the words of his master.

Could you survive on your own, in the wild, with everyone out to make sure you don't live to see the morning? In the ruins of a place once known as North America lies the nation of Panem, a shining Capitol surrounded by 12 outlying districts. The Capitol is harsh and cruel and keeps the districts in line by forcing them all to send one boy and one girl between the ages of 12 and 18 to participate in the annual Hunger Games, a fight to the death on live TV.

Before Liz Lemon, before "Weekend Update," before "Sarah Palin," Tina Fey was just a young girl with a dream: a recurring stress dream that she was being chased through a local airport by her middle-school gym teacher. She also had a dream that one day she would be a comedian on TV. She has seen both these dreams come true. At last, Tina Fey's story can be told....

It was a Great way to travel to and from Work everyday listinging to Tina Fey. Her Outlook one every thing is refreshing and you find yourself sitting at the red light laughin your head off while the driver next to you vives the look; That one is crazy! And the funny is that you don't give a sh-t about him.Tina Fey is absolutely great in narrating. Cudos to you girl for doing it yourself.
