Best selling SF author Orson Scott Card brings to life a new chapter in the saga of Ender's Earth.

Earth and its society have been changed irrevocably in the aftermath of Ender Wiggin's victory over the Formics. The unity forced upon the warring nations by an alien enemy has shattered. Nations are rising again, seeking territory and influence, and most of all, seeking to control the skills and loyalty of the children from the Battle School.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Overall I found this book engaging and entertaining. My only criticism of this book is a production note, and this is true for most of OSC's books. Why must they put crappy synth muzak in between the chapters do us all a favor and skip the music in the future.

When Muslim fundamentalists blow up a key Soviet oil complex, making an already critical oil shortage calamitous, the Russians figure they are going to have to take things into their own hands. They plan to seize the Persian Gulf, and more ambitiously, to neutralize NATO. Thus begins Red Storm, an audacious gamble that uses diplomatic maneuver to cloak a crash military build-up.

What made the experience of listening to Red Storm Rising the most enjoyable?

I have read in paper form all of the Jack Ryan series. For years a copy of this book sat on my shelf I tried to get into it several times only to put it down. I took a change on the audio book version and I am so happy that I did. This is a fantastic novel with an epic story line and breadth of scope. Michael Prichard does an outstanding job of narrating the book.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Great plot twists that will keep you driving around the block or sitting in your driveway until the chapter ends.

Which character – as performed by Michael Prichard – was your favorite?

    Sergatov
