The best part of this audio file was Dick Hill reading it. Mr Hill could make a grocery list entertaining.
I have listened to another of Mr. Griffin's books dealing with Gen. Fertig and expected this book to "tell the rest of the story" of how the OSS assisted him in the PI using the characters from his earlier book to which he alluded sending assistance, but did not follow the same story line.
To bad Mr. Griffin does not read his own books as would have given it 5 stars had he followed along his version of history.
All in all still an entertaining listen of you like his books a little history of WW II.
This is the first of Larry Niven's books. As an avid SF buff I am surprised that I have never experience his writing. This is a very good book. It has shades of the best writes that I have read. A little Asimov, Wells, Heinlein, and Clarke.
I am very glad I took the chance and got this book the story line is good and stays simple enough to follow easily, but has twists and turns to keep you wondering what will happen next.
A definite listen
Following all the other reviews reader is even worse in this book than he was in the last book I listened to. If I did not want to find out what happens I would have given up. Don't listen and drive you will never make your destination
I started not to get this book based on the description from publisher, it did not seem to be something I would enjoy. I love legal thrillers and got it anyway. It was the best decision I have made regarding audio books. The twists and turns will keep you wondering what will happen next. Get the book and sit back and enjoy.
The reader. His pronunciation of German words detract from the performance. While his rendition of voices is good he needs to read only books based with English names, cities, ect.
I hope who ever reads the next book(s) in the series does a better job.
