I would recommend this to other readers if they liked the first book in this series you'll like this one too
Hard to believe it wasn't that long ago that all of that racist garbage was in full force and the civil rights movement was happening.Took me back to when they were busing kids in due to desegregation...
I just love this guy . His take on parenting is quite funny and right on the spot!
Listen to him!
Yes, because it's light and a funny . It's interesting hearing her perspective on things. If youve read any other of the SNL bios, I think this one may be the funniest
Um yeah this is an autobiography so I'll go with Rachel Dratch
It's her own voice and who knows better how to use the proper inflections?!!!
It made me laugh a lot!
Give it a try...
I liked it because it was written by John Grisham. I disliked it equally because it was the least interesting of all of his books.I just couldn't get into it.
Probably a Historical Fiction ...the Constant Princess
Mediocre at best
I normally would say yes, but after reading this, I don't think so
Probably not, the voice of Billy Joel and others were just not believable
No, because of the narration
Better voice for Billy Joel specifically
No... but if they did they would hire someone who is an addict in denial..Maybe Charlie Sheen.
Man, Oh Man was I disappointed in Billy Joel...my hero who was the reason I started playing piano is an ass who needs to get serious about recovery..He seems to be his own God, and as a God, what a let down...He's got serious problems with drinking, and women less than half his age....To me this goes to show what kind of human he is...He may be a master songwriter and musician but as a human being he is an egomaniac
This was a horrendous book ..I started it and restarted it two more times to see if I was missing something....The only thing I was missing was the 12 hours I put into this awful book. I think I'm done with Koontz. The only person I could think might be interested in it are the folks who actually like his ODD Thomas series...another series I can't stomach...
Possibly from Dean Koontz but not from authors like Stephen King who also had some bad stuff like the whole "Towers" series, but has found his way back with some really great stories....This book lacked a cohesive story
I have no idea
The entire first 6 hours...maybe this would have been better as a short story
Yes, the characters were well developed, the story kept me listening even though I'm not a hug fan of Sci-fi...the whole concept was very interesting
I felt like I was in the story, not just listening to the reader
No, it just kept me listening and sad when it ended
Can't wait to listen to the others
A typical Armageddon scenario, but with great characters.Definitely makes me fear the "Survivalist" wacko-s more than before...
Hmm, American Meltdown
Players were Personalities!
For me , this book brought back so many memories of my youth and my brief career in Tennis....the Nastase stories were awesome!
No I have not....He does a good job, but I kind of wish Jimmy would have narrated.
The birth of his son Brett.....You can really tell he loves his family....
I wish I could go back in time ...these stories were so great, and flashed me back to a time when players had personality other than their clothing.....
The story was a positive uplifting one ...Although I think it might have been aimed at a younger audience, but was pleased I gave it a chance anyway.
I liked the bitter old lady in the nursing home because I can relate to her cynicism
Not an extreme reaction, but it was one that I couldn't stop listening to
This book reminds me of a young lady I work with who is the sweetest, most optimistic person Ive ever met despite the loss of her mother as a child and some other tough circumstances...I've recommended she give this a read
