Five thousand years ago, the Kinley built a ship capable of traveling faster than light. It carried a group of scientists to a small, distant planet - a primitive place called Earth. Its mission was peaceful observation. But when the ship was destroyed, the Kinley crew found themselves stranded in ancient Egypt, participants in the pageant of life in the time of the Pharaohs. They buried remnants of their technology deep beneath the desert and sent a last desperate message home…. Five thousand years later, the Kinley homeworld hovers on the brink of extinction.

The creativity of the author and the presentation and talent of the narrator. The narrator is the catalyst, it that person doesn't pull you in and keep you interested. Then you only bland noise irritating your ears.

Which character – as performed by Kate Rudd – was your favorite?

The books main character Pruitt. She brought life to her and all of the characters. She preformed with emotion and feeling for each character.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I typically listen in the car or working out in two hour spurts. But, I could definitely listen to it on a long twelve hour drive

    Any additional comments?

I've listened to dozens and dozens of audible books of all genres. With the exception of Si-Fi. This was my first Si-Fi book and it is definitely in my top five of all the books I've listen too. The author, with the help of the narrator made it feel at times that I ,was walking the sands of time in Egypt going from millennium to present day. I really enjoyed listening to it. I will definitely listen to it again.
