In New York Times best-selling author Victoria Laurie’s newest Psychic Eye Mystery, Abby Cooper is trusting her intuition and heading to Sin City to bet on a friend’s innocence.... When police show Abby surveillance video of her best friend and business partner, Candice Fusco, shooting a man in cold blood, she can’t believe her eyes. And when the cops tell her they think the victim has ties to the Mob - and perhaps Candice does, too - she can’t believe her ears. Surely there is a logical explanation.

There are millions of stories in the city - some magical, some tragic, others terror-filled or triumphant. Jonah Kirk’s story is all of those things as he draws listeners into his life in the city as a young boy, introducing his indomitable grandfather, also a "piano man"; his single mother, a struggling singer; and the heroes, villains, and everyday saints and sinners who make up the fabric of the metropolis in which they live - and who will change the course of Jonah’s life forever. Welcome to The City, a place of evergreen dreams where enchantment and malice entwine.

This wasn't a book that I would read more than once. I did read the whole thing and it had some good moments, but it mostly dragged along. The narrator's performance was awesome so that helped get me through the book. Not terrible, but this wasn't my favorite Koontz book.

This book tells the stories of 2 girls that look identical. Diana grew up with every possible advantage, in a loving home that was financially secure. The other girl, Nadia, knew very little love. Her father left her mother struggling to support them and she spent time homeless. I found the stories emotionally gripping and it was impossible to quit listening. The narrator was very good, the only minor problem I had was sometimes I had a hard time figuring out which girl she was talking about, the voice sounded the same for both. (which it would because they were supposed to sound the same) This was the 3 book in a series, I've also read the 1st book and it was very good too, but I liked this one much more. I'm planning on reading Book 2 and I've pre-ordered Book 4 since it's a continuation of Nadia's life.

I did win an audible credit, from an author contest, for this audio book. I was so glad to find another great series of books. I'll be Dreaming of my next great read releasing on July 22, 2014. The Color of a Dream. Thanks Julianne MacLean for a great read and the WONDERFUL series!

A deeply emotional tale about Sophie Duncan, a successful columnist whose world falls apart after her daughter's unexpected illness and her husband's shocking affair. When it seems nothing else could possibly go wrong, her car skids off an icy road and plunges into a frozen lake. There, in the cold, dark depths of the water a profound and extraordinary experience unlocks the surprising secrets from Sophie's past, and teaches her what it means to truly live...and love.

Overall, I did enjoy the story and found it interesting. I felt a little drained after reading it. My favorite type of book is usually a little more light and funny and this wasn't that at all.

The narration didn't bother me as it did some of the others that reviewed this book, I thought she did a nice job portraying the various characters.

I will read another by this author because I like the quality of her writing.

    Story

This story provokes thought, long after the Audible credits are over.

    The narrators were all EXCELLENT!

The author did a wonderful job of letting me feel like I was right in the middle of the story with the characters. There weren't any boring spots and I didn't want the story to end.

I loved Lou's quirky character interacting with Will and his grumpiness. On the surface Will's Mum appears to be rather cold and critical of Lou's efforts to change Will's attitude. At first, I didn't really like her. Later, I was able to see she was hiding behind that gruff exterior to shield people from seeing the pain of, her son's diminishing life and, a failing marriage. It made me think about other people that I've just met that seem rude or unreasonable and wonder what they have hidden behind their own shields. One never knows what cards other people have been dealt!

I'm not even sure how this book found its way into my Audible library. Did someone recommend it, was it on sale, maybe there was something about it on Facebook? All I know is, this book touched me in places I never knew existed.

This series keeps getting better and better, it's a MUST READ!

I think this is might be my favorite of the Psychic Eye Mysteris. I love that Victoria added M.J. and Gillie to help out on this adventure. Hopefully they will pop in more often in the future and maybe work together to solve the next mystery.

Narration is fabulous as usual too!

Congrats Victoria, this book was FANTASTIC, looking forward to reading it a 2nd time!

Great cozy mystery with light romance. This would be a great beach read!
The heroine ends up in some really funny predicaments, causing me to laugh out loud several times. Her hilarious, clumsy moments were most endearing. Also the romance is not overly graphic and I prefer that to books that go on and on with smutty sex scenes. It leaves more to the imagination.

I didn't realize that this is the 2nd book of a series. Not to worry though, all the background info is supplied, both books are able to stand alone.

I enjoyed the narrator and felt she added to my listening, enjoyment of the book.

I'll be reading more of Julie Moffett's books and I hope there will be a 3rd book in this series.

As the wedding day approaches, problems emerge: an attendant with poison ivy, a failed celery crop, and a torn wedding dress. Story

An Amish Wedding is three tales about the Amish people living in Paradise, PA with an intertwined theme. The theme of the book is the wedding of Pricilla and Chester but from the viewpoints of each of the different stories players.

The stories blended nicely together so you couldn't tell there was more than one author.
Brooke Heldman did an excellent job, narrating the stories.

Very enjoyable way to spend the time, highly recommend to fans of the Amish Genre!
