He is the scourge of Stupid White Men everywhere. He's taken on fat cats, gun nuts, lying politicians. The Guardian describes him as "a wake-up call, a kick in the mental backside." And now, Michael Moore is back, daring to ask the most urgent question of these perilous times: Dude, Where's My Country?

CARL V PHILLIPS says: "I am politically to the left - this is just bad"

The truth about bush is creeping aou from all sides faster than the White House can out CIA agents to stop it. And Michael Moore was the one who had the guts to stand up to the republican "death" squads, insisting his boks not be intellectually neutered. Thank yoy, thank you, thank you Michael.

There is a war going on for the future of our country. Most people know that. What they may not know is that if Christians lose, the result won't merely be enduring public policy we disagree with, it will be a prison sentence for those who oppose it. We've all seen the attack coming. First the Supreme Court said kids can't pray in school. Then the Ten Commandments were ripped from the classrooms.

    "The Absolute WORST book"
    Overall

This is honestly the absolute WORST book I have EVER read. The only one who has ever written anything as bad is Ann Coulter. So, if you like Ann Coulter's style- absurd premesis, misstated "facts", outright lies and illogical leaps you will like this book as well. If you prefer facts, logic, or reasoning, STAY AWAY!

From the author of The New York Times best sellers Treason and Slander comes an updated Ann Coulter compendium, complete with reader responses and television and talk radio transcripts (Couric, Donahue, Franken). With titles like "Would Mohamed Atta Object to Armed Pilots?", "9 out of 10 Caribou Support Drilling", and "Liberal Pimps for Clintonism", How to Talk to a Liberal covers Coulter's waterfront on her favorite issues and targets, from national security to Hollywood.

    "Re-re-re-heated mush"
    Overall

Al Franken has warned us "there is something wrong" with Coulter. This book finally shows us what. She is fresh out of ideas, and simply recycling catchphrases fed her by the republican party's publicity office (FOX "news"). What is wrong with her- and this book- is a complete lack of new thoughts. Like her other books, she has no support for her statements, and it is hard to find an actual fact anywhere. But UNLIKE her other books, here you also cannot find anything which has not been said better elsewhere. In short, this is the type of thing schoolkids write for essays in the 5th grade- usually one of the boys who works in what he thinks are clever cutups admidst the plagiarism. If your purpose is- like mine- to read this so you know what ridiculous things your republican brother-in-law will be saying next week- don't bother. These are the talking points from LAST week.

Conservative pundit Ann Coulter pillories American liberals for their views on Republicans and conservative causes. Author of the best-selling anti-Clinton book High Crimes and Misdemeanors, Coulter summons pages of footnotes to support her highly original thesis that most of the media condemn even the most moderate of conservative views.

Quite simply, I bought the abridged version, and while its possible that the unabridged version somehow cures all the ills of the abridged version, in comparing the two I STRONGLY suggest to you that the only difference is that the longer one simply containd more lies and mistakes. If you MUST buy this book do yourself a favor and purchase the shorter version. You can use the time you save to do something infinately more educational and entertaining (such as sitting alone in a dark room twiddling your fingrers).

Conservative shock-mistress Ann Coulter continues her pillorying of American liberals with a follow-up to Slander. In an argument that poses a challenge to conventional interpretations of the First Amendment, she argues that because liberals are wrong on every issue concerning political analysis or policy prescription, their politics amount to treason.

In a stunning follow-up to her number one best seller Slander, leading conservative pundit Ann Coulter contends that liberals have been wrong on every foreign policy issue, from the fight against Communism at home and abroad, the Nixon and the Clinton presidencies, and the struggle with the Soviet empire right up to today's war on terrorism.

I found colter's writing interesting, but then actually checked the accuracy of her endnotes. I found NONE of her "facts" supported by the notes she gives. It raises the question "Why give references if they DISPROVE the statement you just made?" Before you buy the book, look at a library or bookstore copy and do a randon check of her endnotes- they honestly DO NOT support her premises and often contradict them! Perhaps she is a Liberal agent trying to discredit consertavtive support???!?

As Americans face the ongoing war against terrorists and their state sponsors around the world, Sean Hannity reminds us we must also cope with the continuing scourge of accommodation and cowardice at home. With his trademark blend of passion and hard-hitting commentary, he urges Americans to recognize the dangers of putting our faith in toothless "multilateralism" when the times call for decisive action.

    Overall

If you must read a rigt-wing smear book, this is the one. Only half the factual errors per page of Rush, and with none of the insanity of Coulter. Seriously, at moments he almost makes sense. This is a book written for those who already believe the positions in the book and need to get a booster shot of the same spin again. Nothing new- if you read this you can skip O'Reilley's newest book. The biggest shortfall with Sean these days is that - while he used to have a sharp wit despite his myopic viewpoint, he has gotten so lazy having his tame liberal judas-goat foil rolling over every night on the FOX Republican Spin Channel's Liberal targe range, (FOX - "We balance the Fae Right against the Extreme Right")

Fed up with the Republican Right? Then you'll love Al Franken's scathingly hilarious look at America's largest talk show host and his conservative cronies. Funny yet uncompromisingly fair, Franken tackles the issues - and the politicians - in ways few have dared.

    R. Hill says: "Give us the rest of it"
    "Very well researched & Funny"
    Overall

My only complaint is that rush is much more idiotic and fat that the book discloses. "There are more trees in North America today than when Columus landed here." Why does the author not show rush to be as hateful as he is piggish and misinformed? A very funny book to read, but LIES is even better. (ghost written by Al's mom).

In Red, White & Liberal, Alan Colmes addresses a fundamental question: In this time of uncertainty, how can we protect our freedom without diminishing our liberties, while burnishing our rightful place as the world's beacon of democracy? Colmes urges Americans to see past the tactics of the vocal Right and to combat the problems that threaten our liberties, including the government's manipulation of the "war on terror" to silence critics and expand its powers to frightening proportions.

Brian says: "Asleep at the Wheel"
"better research & support than Hannity's book"
    Overall

Colmes may not know how to stand up to hannity on the air, but he does much better in print. Alan ALMOST seems to be the liberal icon FOX (the republican propaganda network) claims he is. A very good read, though for the cost I would suggest Michael Moore or even Molly Irvins.

The polls indicate that 60 percent of Americans are "upset or angry" about this land in which we now live - a land where crooked courts select the president and money rules the day. If you're feeling the same way, here's the book for you. Michael Moore, the award-winning provocateur behind Roger & Me, returns to size up the new century - and that big, ugly special-interest group that's laying waste to the world as we know it: stupid white men.
