engaging. nice mix of history and entertainment. I don't like fiction. this is an exception
While I'm sure the pronunciation of the name "Rena" was correct... I listen to Stefan Rudnicki narrated books because they help me sleep.
There is nothing more jarring in any book I have ever listened to, than the word Rena said loud and clear with a rolling tongue.
I had to skip every chapter about Rena because her name is said every few seconds the whole way through. I seriously wanted to punch someone each time I heard "Rena"
Very disappointing because I really enjoyed the story and all the other narrators -I wish I knew what happned
All 3 books Kept my attention. This one had plenty of twists and turns - I could nit ask for more
I can see some people might feel the performance is slow/aimed at children. But for me the story is engaging and just what I need for my nightly 30 minute bedtime story.
I get to be a kid again, but still engaged with a great story.
I like. Both Stefan Rudnicki and Emily Janice card do a great job. Sometimes Emily gets a bit distorted. I think the gain was just a bit too high, and so sometimes it hurt my ears a bit.
Moving to book 2 :)
