I would. But with 200+ books in my library and 15% waiting to be read....
How Ben and Alex blame each other for the "issues" in their lives. Then how Ben becomes more self aware.
Really very little. He gave each character their own personality and "voice".
When Katie died. Being a father with a daughter named Katie well there it is.
Here is the explanation for my headline. I was reluctant to purchase Barry Eisler's book as he was the narrator. What a self absorbed (fill in your own expletive) that only you could bring your book to life. Mr. Eisner I was VERY WRONG! Your narration was great. I thought I might like the story, well there I was wrong as well. I lLOVED the story. Last but not least thanks Audible for the promotion that moved me to purchase this as well as Rain Fall which I have yet to read but am looking forward to. And....I just bought two more of Mr. Eisler's books!
Yes, to catch details I had missed. Have already read the "print" version.
Reality and well written.
Ok but the story was better and what made the "listening" worth while
As the title said, reality can be scarier than fiction.
Great next installment
Sorry more than one
Yes but hope it will not be from this series. Nothing personal Mr. P
It just keeps getting hotter
GREAT follow up to the last book. This series always leaves me wanting more.....heat. Read other reviews about the book knocking the narrator. I can understand the comments but I do feel Petkoff did do a fine job with my only caveat being that Heller did a better job with the differences (voices) of the core ensemble. Why I do not know as the other characters in the book were affordered their own unique inflections, accents and well life. I do hope Mr. Heller will return for the next Installment of Nikki Heat as in other series read many times by a particular actor we learn to identify with the "sound" they have created for each character. That said I will be anxiously awaiting Mr. Castle's (who ever you are) next book either it be stormy or hot..
Truly not sure
I have read EVERY book in the series and WAS excited to see another installment. I had read reviews from others speaking to the rehash of what happened before the current read but it was present but I was willing to work past it. This morning when making my tea, specifically when squeezing in the lemon. It hit me that I would like lemons with fewer pips and for this series to cut the retrospective. At two plus chapters and almost two and a half hours of retrospective I have hit my limit.
PS Dick Hill YOU were the only saving grace here...Thanks and keep up the good work
I have purchased all of the books before this and listened to the "trilogy" Brimstone, Dance of Death and The Book of the Dead. Scott Brick gave a FABULOUS performance, as usual, bringing all of the characters to life giving each their own "voice" and personality.
Conversely Rene Auberjonois does Pendergast a terrible disservice and if it were not for my readings of prior books and Scott Brick I would never been aware of the refinement, bearing and personality of Aloysius.
I will miss this series but will NOT be purchasing the current balance of the series performed by Rene.
