  • The Biology of Belief

    • ABRIDGED (3 hrs and 21 mins)
    • By Bruce H. Lipton
    • Narrated By Bruce H. Lipton

Since the publication of The Biology of Belief, Dr. Bruce Lipton has received widespread acclaim as one of the most accessible and knowledgeable voices of "new biology". The science is called epigenetics – a revolutionary field that shows us how the energy of consciousness is as important in shaping life on earth as DNA and chemistry.

    Michelle says: "A Must-read"
    "Packed with thought provoking ideas"

Beautiful summary of the history of science, today's DNA research, and a guide to transform ourselves physically and psychologically - all in under 4 hours

  • The China Study: The Most Comprehensive Study of Nutrition Ever Conducted and the Startling Implications for Diet, Weight Loss, And Long-term Health

    • ABRIDGED (7 hrs and 44 mins)
    • By T. Colin Campbell, Thomas M. Campbell
    • Narrated By Stefan Rudnicki

The China Study offers conclusive evidence that a change of diet can dramatically reduce the risks of heart disease, diabetes, and obesity. The book is based on the most comprehensive study of nutrition ever conducted, a 20-year joint project between Cornell University, Oxford University, and the Chinese Academy of Preventive Medicine. The study surveyed the eating habits of 6,500 adults from all over China and Taiwan and found a direct correlation between diet and disease.

James says: "Deserves a second listen"
    "Convinced me!!"

Waiting for critics to dispute the research not the style or the author. Why hasn't the money poured into cancer research come up with any effective means of prevention? I never wanted to go vegetarian because so many older vegetarian women are not fit and healthy role models. Now I see that the milk they still drink could be the reason. How could anyone not pass this book on to friends and family who are heading towards disease? Do we have to wait for cancer rates in China and India to rise as affluence increases?

  • Pandora's Seed: The Unforeseen Cost of Civilization

    • UNABRIDGED (6 hrs and 40 mins)
    • By Spencer Wells
    • Narrated By Spencer Wells
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

This new book by Spencer Wells, the internationally known geneticist, anthropologist, author, and director of the Genographic Project, focuses on the seminal event in human history: mankind's decision to become farmers rather than hunter-gatherers.

Roy says: "The Costs of Civilization"
"thought provoking and packed with information"

I ordered this book after watching the Daily Show and enjoyed it immensely. The scope and breadth of topics and ideas is almost overwhelming, and the author is challenged to ponder numerous ethical conundrums.
