Jadrek, lot more back story and depth to this character in this installment.
Can't say much without giving away the twist but there was a LOT more information revealed in this book.
Seraphina's troubles are unique to her...or are they? Seraphina finds that she is not alone in her challenges and struggles and forms a very different but special sort of family - both out of new friends and out of her strange really family. But though Seraphina's (and her friends) troubles may be unique to their world - her difficult road to accepting herself is something that will resonate with listeners of all ages.
I loved how the characters needed to learn, grow AND work together to achieve success. Don't get me wrong, I loved Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and there was something of that feel here...but here the characters weren't cookie cutter-they had flaws and strengths and they grew to see those things in themselves and each other!
I really loved how Flewelling brought the series full circle. The characters have all had realistic growth over the 7 books and now we get to see them settle into their lives. Good plot line and good resolution!
Very interesting, haven't bought a loaf of bread since and I loved wheat! (or thought I did)
Yes, once i finish the series i think i'll have to go back to recognize all the clues!
the relationship between protagonists was well developed and well written, good character building.
Excellent descriptions regarding time period, loved the suspense how all the suspects seemed possible at different points. But the conclusion was unsatisfying, happened too fast, not sure how protagonist came to her conclusion...
Yes, so filled with interesting tidbits that I'm sure I would hear more the more I listen.
It made me laugh at lot though there were moments were I cringed (rats and bedbugs, eeek!!!)!
