I would have liked to hear more facts on the aftermath of her escape.
The story was ok some of it was corny.
You may never look at the ice cream man the same again (I know I don’t). Not Stephen King’s normal super natural adventure but it was still just as creepy. Very few authors can create characters that I feel like I actually know like Stephen King. Will Patton is quickly becoming one of my favorite narrators (I will always miss Frank Muller). Patton did a great job. Another home run for both Stephen King and Will Patton – Loved it
I’m not sure why the other reviews are not giving this book the credit it deserves however it is a great classic Stephen King story. If you are a SK fan this is for you. In my opinion it reminds me of the Stand in a lot of ways. The sarcasm of the characters is hysterical although in a creepy kind of way. My only gripe is the accent the narrator uses for New England accent, it sounds like a British accent.
I am new to the Stephen King experience and I love most of them and his narration makes the stories more personal somehow. Needful things gives me food for thought, it’s true in life we all have something or a memory most of us would do just about anything to have or have that time back. Again the story is good not his best in my opinion but the music is distracting and takes away from the experience.
Amazing – Fantastic This book is so hard to explain the story and give it the credit it deserves (of course I’m not Stephen King). I love the Green Mile and that is as close as I can come to a comparison. I wish I hadn’t given other books 5 stars I feel like that is an insult to 11/22/63. The mind of Stephen King is something I can’t comprehend. Craig Wasson (whom I have never had the pleasure of listening to) draws you in from the first 10 minutes. Also for those of us that love a bargain a 30 hour book for 1 credit is another good reason to invest.
The Oak Knoll series from Tami Hoag is wonderful however this one just doesn’t measure up. The main character is difficult to like and the dialog is childish throughout. Take a pass.
There is not much I can say that hasn't been said about the story. I listen to about 5 books a week and I would put this in the top 20 of about 800 books I have listened to. I don’t have any knowledge of the Japanese or Asian cultures so this was a journey into another world literally. This is my first experence with Bernadette Dunne however she quietly draws you in and holds your attention magnificently. A MUST READ!!
This is a great series and a good narrator. The writing styles gives the perspective from all characters giving a better perspective and more in-depth story.
It’s interesting to remember what it was like in the 80’s (for those of us that are old enough) I tend to forget the days of not being able to get in touch with someone at any time.
I will first start off with the is a wonderful series and I have listened to it many times however CJ Critt as the narrator is awful I wish the entire series could be re-released with Kate Reading as the narrator.
I know this one hasn’t gotten all great review but I LOVE it. This is a whole different side to the Queen of forensics, the characters are hilarious. Audio is the only way to read/listen to this book, the inflection in the characters voices would probably be difficult to pick up in the written version. Southern Cross is another funny Patricia Cornwell book however it’s an older book and not available on Audible. If you ever get the chance pick it up.
I have tried a couple of other Tami Hoag books this is the only series that I have fallen in love with. I like the way she gives the perspective from all characters. If you like a lot of twists this one is for you.
