The victims are people she knows, and they share a common trait - all were involved in one of Jack's previous cases. With her stalwart partner, Herb, hospitalized and unable to help, Jack follows a trail of death throughout the Midwest, on a collision course with the smartest and deadliest adversary she has ever known.

Where does Rusty Nail rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Every book in the series is better than the last. The characters and their relationships continue to evolve. The plots keep you guessing until the end, I also like that Konrath doesn't add in too many new characters and I appreciate that. I find that some authors write too many new characters in and the book loses its cohesiveness. It can be confusing but Konrath keeps a laser focus on what matters.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Rusty Nail?

The cat of course, so great!! Also, the killer. I can't say more, I don't want to spoil anything.

    Which scene was your favorite?

Any of the cat scenes were great! The final fight scene was also awesome! Oh yeah the cat was there too.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

I hate this question. I'd rather let the author figure this out.

    Any additional comments?

Great Book, Great Series!!! Highly Recommended!!

I usually listen to murder mysteries and this was a refreshing angle for the genre. I enjoyed the main character although I would have liked more details and character building on the main girl. I hope this is a series, I really enjoyed it.

The story jumped a bit too much although it was an interesting storyline. I found it a little hard to follow with so many characters and sub plots. Overall it was ok for a mystery thriller from HC stacking against his own work.

Would you consider the audio edition of I Am Not a Serial Killer to be better than the print version?

i never read the print version

Who was your favorite character and why?

the main character is my favorite

What does John Allen Nelson bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I'm not a fan of his narration, the book got so much better when Kirby Heyborne read book two and three.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

i pretty much did, the book was refreshing and a fun listen.

great story! If you like shows like dexter, you will love this series.

He has faced two of the monsters already, barely escaping with his life, and now he's done running; he's taking the fight to them. But as he wades through his town's darkest secrets, searching for any sign of who the demon might be, one thing becomes all too clear: in a game of cat and mouse with a supernatural killer, the human is always the mouse.

In I Am Not a Serial Killer, John Wayne Cleaver saved his town from a murderer even more appalling than the serial killers he obsessively studies. But it turns out even demons have friends, and the disappearance of one has brought another to Clayton County. Soon there are new victims for John to work on at the mortuary and a new mystery to solve. But John has tasted death, and the dark nature he used as a weapon - the terrifying persona he calls "Mr. Monster" - might now be using him.

Great book from an author I've never read. I found it by chance while looking to see if Scott brick had any new releases and stumbled on "signature kill."

I was hooked in the first five minutes! The characters were well written, the story line fascinating and there were things that surprised me which is rare. I read so many serial killer murder mysteries and they all start to sound the same but this one I will remember and I REALLY hope there is a sequel. I'd love to see where bear is headed.

Scott brick was a very smart choice for the narrator, no one reads creepy sadistic killer quite like him!

FBI Special Agent Matthew Roarke is closing in on a bust of a major criminal organization in San Francisco when he witnesses an undercover member of his team killed right in front of him on a busy street, an accident Roarke can't believe is coincidental. His suspicions put him on the trail of a mysterious young woman who appears to have been present at each scene of a years-long string of accidents and murders, and who may well be that most rare of killers: a female serial.
