Drew Danner, a crime novelist with a house off L.A.'s storied Mulholland Drive, awakens in a hospital bed with a scar on his head and no memory of being found convulsing over his ex-fiancee's body the previous night. He was discovered holding a knife, her blood beneath his nails. He himself doesn't know whether he's guilty or innocent. To reconstruct the story, the writer must now become the protagonist, searching the corridors of his life and the city he loves.

What made the experience of listening to The Crime Writer the most enjoyable?

Great characters and I love how Gregg writes women. I didn't want this book to end and I couldn;t put it down. It's fast paced and packed with emotion and nail-biting action! This is one of my favorites of Gregg.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

I stayed up way too late reading this book, I just couldn't put it down from start to finish.

Which character – as performed by Scott Brick – was your favorite?

The main character of course but I love how Scott played the main characters love interest too. It's really hard to pick a favorite because all of the characters were awesome and so uniquely different.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I practically read this all in one sitting! Thanks you Gregg and Scott, you make my daily train commute painless.

Twenty-five years have passed since a savage killer terrorized California, massacring three ordinary families before disappearing without a trace. The only surviving victim of his rampage was a child…who is now wanted by the FBI for brutal crimes of her own.

I really enjoyed this series and hope there will be more to come. I enjoyed the psychological profiling the most. Good characters that you want to see get the justice they deserve.

FBI Special Agent Matthew Roarke is closing in on a bust of a major criminal organization in San Francisco when he witnesses an undercover member of his team killed right in front of him on a busy street, an accident Roarke can't believe is coincidental. His suspicions put him on the trail of a mysterious young woman who appears to have been present at each scene of a years-long string of accidents and murders, and who may well be that most rare of killers: a female serial.

I had never heard of this author and just stumbled upon huntress moon. I finished the story in 24 hours because it was hard to put down.

The female protagonist is interesting and I really wanted to see where the story went. A good book if you enjoy psychological thrillers with strong female characters.

With the right motive, anyone can be a killer. Caring for Ironwood is a dream come true for Cage Foster. The dream doesn't last long when a skeleton is found buried beneath the antebellum home. The unearthing of two additional fresh bodies quickly turns into a nightmare which could land him on Mississippi's death row.

The book was a quick listen, grabbed my attention from the start. The characters were lovable and interesting. Once again in this series, there was a theme of redemption. If you like a little mystery mixed with romance its a good book for you. If you prefer more gore and medical procedure then I would not recommend this one. Overall an enjoyable listen.

The truth can be as deadly as any weapon. Jaymee Ballard trusted only one person in Roselea, Mississippi with the secret of her lost daughter. When that person is brutally murdered, it leaves her with heartbreak and a slew of unanswered questions. The eerie similarity to a murder of one of Jaymee's close friends years ago causes her to realize her past has come back to haunt her and may cost her own life. Years of deception and abuse leave Jaymee with few options and fewer allies.

Newly divorced Gaby Duran isn't really expecting to find her soul mate on a dating site like InTune. She just needs a distraction from pining over her ex-husband, Ben, and the happy marriage they once had. And she's wise enough to know that online, the truth doesn't always match the profile. Almost everyone lies a little - or a lot.

The book was boring. The characters were so annoying and repetitive. It's like they were just saying the same thing over and over in slightly diff ways throughout the book. The ending was lame and the plot expected.
Whoever produced this book made no attempt at pausing between characters and chapters and it was very hard to follow which character was being discussed. Literally no pause between subjects, probably fine for a read but needed editing for an audio book.

On a night flight from London to Boston, Ted Severson meets the stunning and mysterious Lily Kintner. Sharing one too many martinis, the strangers begin to play a game of truth, revealing very intimate details about themselves. Ted talks about his marriage that's going stale and his wife, Miranda, who he's sure is cheating on him. Ted and his wife were a mismatch from the start - he the rich businessman, she the artistic free spirit - a contrast that once inflamed their passion but has now become a cliché.

Life for private investigator Lizzy Gardner will never be the same. It's been three weeks since her fiancé Jared, was shot on what was supposed to be their wedding day. He's in a coma now, and Lizzy is being forced to make a decision she might not be able to live with. But a string of deaths has forced her to get back to work. While they appear to be unrelated accidents at first glance, a closer look shows they all have something in common.

Good book, can't wait to for the next. I was surprised by the outcome of Jared and excited to see how this new chapter will unfold... Hopefully a darker chapter. The narrator Kate Rudd often annoys me. She just sounds like such a waif yet she is playing such strong women. And most of all I hate how she reads men. She makes all men sound like idiotic cavemen. The series would be close to perfect without Kate Rudd. Oh well, a girl can dream.

Grave Sight draws listeners into the intriguing world of Harper Connelly, a woman with a unique gift: she can "see" the deceased and how they died. A teenage girl from a small Ozarks town is missing and feared dead. Hired by local police, Harper locates the girl's body in a nearby forest. But there's more than one corpse in those woods, and the second one raises questions no one wants to ask.

The narrator sounds too old for this series. The main character is 23 years old yet the narrator sounds like she is 73. Series has potential but at least in this book there were way too many characters to keep track of in this story.

In Frankenstein: Lost Souls, Dean Koontz puts a singular twist on this classic tale of ambition and science gone wrong, to forge a new legend uniquely suited to our times. It is a story of revenge, redemption, and the thin line that separates human from inhuman.

Great story but each book is about 8 hours and the series adds up in credits. I'm enjoying the story though so I guess u got me hooked. The other negative is its moving VERY slow. Besides that I love characters, especially Jacko.
