The whole story. It tied beautifully into the Chicago Stars story line, but told itsown story which was altogether different that the ones before it.
It was like two tragedy trains crashed into each otherand developed into a sweet, beautiful, loving, and trusting relationship. Friday Harbor by Lisa Kleypas and someof Robyn Carr's Virgin River series books are similar to this storyline.
She has a unique ability to put emotion into the story from botha male and females reactions. The females responses send me intolaughter in unexpected places that I have to be careful where I listen.I find myself laughing out loud in the grocery store, walking in the park, and driving my car. People must think I'm crazy.
Want a good laugh and cry?
I've just discovered Susan Elizabeth Phillips and I feellike I've found a friend.
The accent that Amy Rubinate trys to do of Tom. It sounds more like
an Australian than a Brit. and Tom's character was hard for me to develop.
By the end of the book I wanted to smack Tom if he said "Mate" one more
time. I would have preferred to read the book.
Only if they haven't read any other KH books. This was predictable after reading so
many of her books. I recommend KH to many of my friends, however, I'd pass on this
one. Was frustrated by the time I was done.
Not good here.
No. Whatever needed to get wrapped up did and I'm done with Tom.
I love Kristan Higgans. I look for her books and pre-ordered the next in this series.
Hope its better than this one.
I don't know. I'm a big fan of romance, however, they jumped into sex to soonand spoiled the rest for me. I didn't even finish. They needed to develop an deeper attraction or at least let one build.
Dove into the sex to soon. The attraction needed to build. Everything was to much to soon.
I like the narrator very much. She's the reason I hung in there until the middle. She wasn't my problem. The story was.
The masterbation scene first. The constant sex talk or thought second. Didn't let your own imagination marinate.
With all the great reviews of the sequels, I'm going to give the second a try but I hope they write a better story to go with the romance.
How Evangeline managed to protect herself by pretending
that an accident did more to her mental stability than her family thought.
This lead her into a marriage that seemed hopeless until you
discover the gentle way in which her husband comes to
know and respect her.
It was a little different than the usual Scottish storylines.
She did a fabulous job. Her Scottish brogue was infectious.
Along with her ability to adjust to men vs woman. That's not easy
and for me important for the romance story.
This would be a great movie!
Yes, the narration was wonderful.
When they felt each other. It gave me a sense of belonging.
When they were together in the present.
I loved this book and it will always be one of my favorite's. When a book can carry you away as though your own life is on pause, you know you've found magic. It was like I dreamt the story.
If you want a true escape that leaves you not wanting the book to end, then this is IT!
Absolutely, Therese Plummer is masterful at changing her voice to pull inso many characters and with so many people that have developed overthe years in Virgin River you need a great narrator. The story is perfect for a cold winter, a great imagination, a small cabin surrounded by woods, a handsome military man, and an enormous Christmas tree. What more could a girl ask for?
Any of the other wonderful Virgin River Christmas stories.
Diversity of the many characters. Each character seems to have their owntraits that instantly identify them in the story.
It made me smile often.
Do yourself a favor and crawl into bed with Virgin River.
I would have given it a 4.5 if I could.
Right near the top.
Lillian Bowman. She is a strong sexy woman thatis not afraid to have fun.
Absolutely! After meeting the wallflowers I knew I was in for a treat. Its like you wanted to be part of their group and see what happens to you.I found myself smiling, laughing, excited and thoroughly anticipating everyscene.
Since I discovered the Wallflowers, I feel like I've found my best friends.
Its among my favorites. Though I have many, this was a little differentand I love SEP. She writes funny like no author I've listened to before.SEP blends emotions beautifully and has me laughing out loud.
Not sure. I don't tend to like circus', however, I have a love foranimals.
Anna Fields and SEP are a love match! Anna Fields has the best
expressions while narrating SEP's stories and SEP's stories bring out the
best in AF.
Arranged marriages anyone?
It took me a while to decide on SEP's book about the circus becauseI really don't like the circus, but I'm so glad I did. Like an Angel is oneof my favorite SEP books now. Though I like them all.
