Is there anything you would change about this book?

Yes - make it more interesting.

Would you be willing to try another book from Lois Lowry? Why or why not?

No thank you. Ideas are too simplistic and characters unreal.

Would you listen to another book narrated by Ron Rifkin?

    Yes - good job.

Do you think The Giver needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

Not unless you want to be bored to death.

Ex-Chief Investigator Arkady Renko is in deep on the “slime line” - the fish-gutting station - in the Polar Star, a Soviet fish factory ship of some 250 souls, almost as many secrets, and a dangerous shipboard sub-culture that cares little for the Party, and less for human life.

What did you like best about Polar Star? What did you like least?

I bought this based on someone's review as the "BEST BOOK EVER" . What? This was almost boring and complicated to the point of just shutting it off and reading a book. I couldn't even stay along with the story because it changed so much and added so many characters I couldn't even tell you who they are now. I am sorry, but I cannot recommend a book that I can't even remember after listening to it. I would pass.

What do you think your next listen will be?

    Wouldn't be in this series.

How could the performance have been better?

Simplify the plot and characters to the point where an average person can keep track of them.

Did Polar Star inspire you to do anything?

    Yes - read a book.

Do you find yourself picking through circumstances like children plucking daisy petals attempting to figure out whether or not God loves you? If you find yourself least certain of his love in those critical moments when you most need to trust him, there is hope for you. Where? At the one event in human history that forever secured your place in the Father's heart - the cross where Jesus allowed sin and shame to be consumed in his own body so that you could freely embrace a relationship with his Father.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

YES, by all means. This is THE best book ever on liiving in the LOVE of God. We do not know how to love, but our Lord does and when He loves us we can then pass it on. Wonderful book that I will cherish till Christ RETURNS.

What other book might you compare He Loves Me! to and why?

The Shack and So You don't Want to Go to Church anymore. Based on the same theme of love relationship through what Christ did and NOT on what we do or don't do.

    Which scene was your favorite?

    I loved it all.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Behold the Savior of the World

What made the experience of listening to My Side of the Mountain the most enjoyable?

My Side of the Mountain was my favorite book at 12 years old and I own several copies and will pass them down to my grandkids. I embarked on a journey that today has enabled me to create a Company based on my love of the outdoors and pass it down to my Son. This book was the accelerant and propeled me to pursue the outdoors, plants, animals, and living off the land. What a wonderful story and any pre-teen should read before he or she get TOO old.

What did you like best about this story?

I love the simplicity it was portrayed, yet the danger that can come if not prepared in the wild. The knowledge, that no one can take away, is invaluable to sustain yourself and possibly your loved ones in the event you are stranded or lost in the wilds.

    Which scene was your favorite?

The winter part of the story was my favorite, because he reflected on what he accomplished and how comfortable he was in his tree home.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I cried many times that I have read it when his mountain paradise was invaded by so many people.

    Any additional comments?

Please let your children read it - you too adults if your not TOO OLD.

Where does So You Don't Want to Go to Church Anymore rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This is the single BEST book I have ever read or listened to - besides the Holy Bible. I reveals the true face of Jesus - LOVE - not man's selfish love, but true unmerited GOD'S LOVE.

It is TOTALLY about JESUS and knowing HIM! Everything else will fall in line and TRUE FRUIT will emerge from the SPIRIT within YOU.

    EVERYTHING

What about Wayne Jacobsen’s performance did you like?

A great job - makes listening easy.
