I have to say that I've read the entire NIV many times. I took a chance on a series of his lectures and I'm so very happy I did. He gives a whole different perspective on the nature of the time when these books were written. Including maps, government and military and practiced religions of the time. He also asks and answers most of the "natural" questions we all ask when reading it. I DO believe these lectures will enlighten and inspire you to dig deeper into your own knowledge and understanding of GOD and Jesus.
This book gives different ways of communicating and understanding differences between individuals. Anyone who has had differences in the workplace or at home should listen to this book. It really helps!
This recording is not what you expect. the sounds he uses are not fully through the talking. His accent (Australian) is distracting.
I can't thank Dr Dyer enough. He speaks to you with compassion and strength. He assumes you may be skeptical and takes his time explaining his ideas and acknowledges your possible skepticism. He does not assume we all listening for the same reason and lets you decide on what to believe. Thank You Dr. Dyer for not forcing it!
The book starts out good, but she starts to contradict herself about 3/4 the way through. I was disappointed with the ending and the picture she tries to paint of the afterlife after telling us of a different picture first.
