Sweet, Romantic, Mysterious
He was smooth and did all the accents and voices very well.
I like to flip flop between heavy and light in my reading material. This would be on the lighter side and included some real life figures mixed into the fiction. It takes place both in Italy and the US and takes us back and forth between the 60's and present day. The narrator was very good and the story at times takes you by surprise. I enjoyed it and found myself waiting for opportunities to get back to the book (Always a good thing for me!)
The Audio version was great, did not read the print version.
That it was a raw, true, emotional story told by the real character herself.
Regina herself without a doubt.
Yes, I was often angry, afraid, happy and sad.
This book will hook you from the very start.
The part when it ended. I had to force myself to finish this book
I guess the whole consept of the story intrigued me when I read the summary, but it did not work and maybe it was just the narrator that spoiled it for me.
He just droned on. I cannot explain how irritating he was.
It inspired me to write this review so others would not waste their money.
Maybe this book works on the written page and not with this particular narrator
I'm not sure because I didn't read the print version, but I did enjoy the audio edition.
It kept moving and the characters were easily developed. I also grew up on eastern Long Island so it was fun to picture all the places mentioned
Emma was one of my favorites. She was a strong and interesting character with a good sense of humor.
Greed feeds a murderers appetite on the North Fork.
Was certainly worth the credit used.
Like Nothing Before
It was strange, both the characters and the story, but it kept me wanting more so I could figure it out.
I could forget the voice and just see the story unfold in my mind
It's long but keeps you engaged
It's probably up there in the 80th percentile of like ability. I've read some I liked more and a lot I've liked less.
Can't think of anything I can talk about without giving something away to future readers
I don't think so, she did a wonderful job with this one
Jenny Bonnet, because she was such a unique character
It is definitely worth it's cost 😃
Can't really think of anything I liked, and the nonsensical stories were what I liked least
I had seen him interviewed about the book and his hitch hiking across the US. He gave me the impression that this was a real trip and true stories about the journey. I laughed out loud during the interview, but not while reading the book. The stories about his rides were so unreal and impossible that you immediately know it is all made up. The characters are so outrageous they are impossible to believe.
No, they are all absurd
Wait for more reviews before making purchases
Don't waste your money
It hooked me right away and I could not put it down.
It kept me thinking and unsure what would happen next.
He is always great!
I kept sneaking away from my life to listen whenever I could. The Narration was wonderful and so easy to listen to.
This was one of those books where you find yourself truly caring about the characters. The pictures painted in my mind of Italy, New York, and everywhere the story took me were in such detail, I felt I was there. I Loved This Book!!!!!!!
Yes I would and have recommended this book. It kept me interested and wanting to get back to listening as soon as I could.
I loved the historical setting and the twists and turns the story took. Just when I thought I had everything figured out, everything would change.
