Earl Harbinger may be the leader of Monster Hunter International, but he's also got a secret. Nearly a century ago, Earl was cursed to be a werewolf. When Earl receives word that one of his oldest foes, a legendarily vicious werewolf that worked for the KGB, has mysteriously appeared in the remote woods of Michigan, he decides to take care of some unfinished business.

King Shrewd is dead at the hands of his son Regal. As is Fitz - or so his enemies and friends believe. But with the help of his allies and his beast magic, he emerges from the grave, deeply scarred in body and soul. The kingdom also teeters toward ruin: Regal has plundered and abandoned the capital, while the rightful heir, Prince Verity, is lost to his mad quest - perhaps to death. Only Verity's return - or the heir his princess carries - can save the Six Duchies.

Would you listen to Assassin's Quest again? Why?

Yes. The book is the perfect ending to the trilogy.

What did you like best about this story?

I just really enjoyed the whole trilogy. Alot of people bitched about 'not enough action,' ect...but I enjoyed the character development, and the world she created. Also, though I hated to see it end, I am glad she did not try to drag this on and on as alot of authors do. The entire trilogy was perfect.

Which character – as performed by Paul Boehmer – was your favorite?

the wolf...duh; but Regal did remind me of Joffrey from aGOT.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

    yes...gawd yes.

    Any additional comments?

based on this book, I do plan to read more Hobb.
