With a career, a boyfriend, and a loving family, Piper Kerman barely resembles the reckless young woman who delivered a suitcase of drug money 10 years ago. But that past has caught up with her. Convicted and sentenced to 15 months at the infamous federal correctional facility in Danbury, Connecticut, the well-heeled Smith College alumna is now inmate #11187-424 - one of the millions of women who disappear "down the rabbit hole" of the American penal system.

Loved this memoir. Exactly as it says ... the book is simply a woman telling of her time in prison. No added plot. Probably for a particular type of reader but I thought it was great! Would recommend!

I purposefully chose to listen rather than read and that's 100% the right choice. It should be no surprise that she's a terrific narrator. Made the drive each day so fun! Would recommend to everyone!

Atticus O’Sullivan, last of the Druids, lives peacefully in Arizona, running an occult bookshop and shape-shifting in his spare time to hunt with his Irish wolfhound. His neighbors and customers think that this handsome, tattooed Irish dude is about twenty-one years old - when in actuality, he’s twenty-one centuries old. Not to mention: He draws his power from the earth, possesses a sharp wit, and wields an even sharper magical sword known as Fragarach, the Answerer. Unfortunately, a very angry Celtic god wants that sword, and he’s hounded Atticus for centuries....

Got this as one of the $4 specials. For the price, I was pleasantly satisfied. Narrator was (almost) great :) Story was good fantasy plot w/o too much silly. I would keep my eye out for another in this series on special.

A mesmerizing, moving, and elegantly written debut novel, The Language of Flowers beautifully weaves past and present, creating a vivid portrait of an unforgettable woman whose gift for flowers helps her change the lives of others even as she struggles to overcome her own troubled past. The Victorian language of flowers was used to convey romantic expressions: honeysuckle for devotion, asters for patience, and red roses for love. But for Victoria Jones, it's been more useful in communicating grief, mistrust, and solitude.

Really enjoyed this one. Interesting subject. Narrator pleasant. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because it wasn't completely amazing. But would definitely recommend.
