What made the experience of listening to Stay Close the most enjoyable?

I always enjoy Coben books and was looking forward to his newest book.

What didn???t you like about Scott Brick???s performance?

He is too dramatic about everything. About 2 hours from the end of this book I almost gave up and quit listening. We have listened to many books by Brick, however, this is the first one I almost could not make it through. I agree with some of the other reviews, too much of the narration is over the top.

    Any additional comments?

This is not one of my favorite Harlan Coben books. I will read the next, but it may be the last if it isn't better.

A cute little story. Really a little different. Several steamy sex scenes. Not a real deep mystery. The reader was pretty good.

When this book began I was not sure I would like it. It is a story told in a story. I am so glad I listened to it. I can say it is one of those books that just will stay with you. The readers were all great. I laughed and cried. I felt a connection. (as a female pilot, I enjoyed relating to Kitty Hawk!)

This is classified as young adult and historical fiction. I generally read mysteries and thrillers. I can't say much about the content of the book without giving too much away; just give it a try!

I did not finish this book because it was just too rude. I did not find anyone in the book that I could call a "hero" or who was likable. I did not enjoy the narrator.

I seldom, if ever, read horror books; so maybe I should not even rate this. However, gratuitous foul language just is not my thing. I want to warn anyone who may feel the same. I felt myself being assaulted, so I just turned it off.

I really just wanted it to be over. It is definately a romance novel that was just so predictable. I know it wasn't under romance novels because I checked before I tried something new. I didn't recommend it, I told my husband not to bother.

If you enjoy just background noise, listen to this.

If you really want to listen to your GPS read a cross between a romance novel and "The Perils of Pauline;" this is the book for you. It began with just a really bad reader but a story that seemed interesting. By the beginning of part 2, I realized I was dreading turning on my book. I had thought I wanted to find out how it ended. I decided it wasn't worth my time. I am amazed Amy Rubinate has narrated other books. I will never get another one by her.

The book had a good storyline I enjoyed reading. As for Richard Allen. I felt as if I were in 1st. grade being read to by a teacher that wanted to make sure I very distinctly heard and understood each word individually. He didn't seem to have a connection with the story except when he used a southern accent.

So far Griffen has written 43 books about the military divided into 6 segments of 7 to ten books each. The book were written from1982 to 2012. He spends way too much time bringing readers up to date on previous books. If you are a pilot or air traffic controller please do not throw your listening device on the floor and stomp it. Phraesology is the worst ever. He needs helpers in this area.

Reading some of the first reviews, I thought I should continue reading. Then I got to the ones who said what I was already thinking. I will quit wasting my time. Scott Brick can be too breathy and dramatic; and this is a perfect example. Not every paragraph can be that dramatic. I got very tired of it. Then when the author commented on "the middle class instead of the rich a**h***s;" I knew I was out of my element. That wasn't necessary.

I am sure Hurwitz/Brick will be a big hit, just not with us. I made it about 2 hours.
