a bit slow at times but a good period piece, some really great moments. It was well performed.
This is the first Odd book I have read/listened to and if this is an indication of the others I will not be wasting my credits. I expected more from Dean Koontz! :(
opened my eyes to another world, I really enjoyed it though very violent at times
I liked it because I live in Australia though not in Melbourne where the story was set. It gave me a lot of laughs, was lighthearted and easy to listen to
Yes but only if I knew they liked thrillers
The bridge scenes
cant name a favourite
The narration was very good
Haven't read the book but the audio was absolutely magnificent
I loved them all, some because they were so good and some because they were so bad
The narration brought, depth of feeling, great southern accents that truly matched the book and story
Both, I laughed and I cried.
I will definitely listen to it again.
Yes, because the message behind the story is such a good one.
Dorian of course.
The end where he stabbed the portrait ending his life
Read the book many many years ago so was happy to be able to listen to it, very well narrated.
Havent read the print version.
Too many to list.
The whole book.
The friendships that were made.
I listened to the book because my daughter visited San Pedro prison, 2 years ago, then aged 21 whilst backpacking through South America with a friend. She didn't tell me about the prison visit until her return, thank goodness. She has a hand drawn a4 size pencil drawing that an inmate did of her, she has it framed as a reminder of her 2 hour tour of the prison. She had a great guide but admits that relinquishing her passport and bribing her way in was a bit scary, what an experience. Whilst listening to the audio all I could think of was my very tiny 21yr old by herself on a guided tour. What a fascinating place, really well worth listening to.
I have listened to all the other previous books.
I still like Jamie & Clare. They have endured a lot together as well as a lot apart.
I prefer Davina Porter, she narrated all the others and you get used to the same voice.
Come back with me!
Enjoyable series, sometimes a bit repetitive but I still look forward to listening and finding out what is happening in their lives, makes doing the housework more bearable!
I am listening to the whole series as I go about my free time, I feel I know the characters and really enjoy the escapism, will keep listening.
All of them, especially the male characters.
