For me the best aspect of the story is the twist on the lore. The least interesting aspect is the way Bill kinda BS's his way through much of the story.
None, as I would probably be on the menu.
Fun book. Not the best new vampire story, Bill is too mediocre in personality, but better than most the romance novels disquised as fantasy out now.
This is a better book than the first IMO. Better pace, more action, better story.
Yes. This is a very profound story.
A voice that resonates inside your brain.
This is an amazing story. It's a blend of ideas that have been around for eons, but is told in such a way, it seems new.
This is a very long (over 23 hours) epic piece of fantasy. The story is a good blend of several different stories blending together. Oliver Wyman does a superb job with all the different characters.
Rosalyn Landor is absolutely spectacular as a narrator. The story is a good, well written piece of fantasy, not any new ground, but good all the same. This was an enjoyable listen and again, Rosalyn Landor was the star.
This has become one of my favorite series. This is a fantastic installment. Castor just keeps rolling and the dry humor is phenomenal. If you're a fan of urban fantasy, this series is a must.
Slowly - Good - Better
Jeff does a phenomenal job- really keep me in the book, especially the beginning, which is not so great.
This book took a while to get going. The beginning is a drunk guy wandering around nonchalantly. It's not until at least a fourth of the way, the story finally picks up. The main character is difficult to take seriously through a lot of the story and this is unusual. He is funny for the most part, though. Not a great book for sure, but good enough I will listen to the next one.
Anthony Bowden does a fantastic job narrating this installment of Jeremiah Hunt Chronicle. The story is not great, it's a good story with what I would call an interlude in L.A. Jeremiah is developing and becoming something of an anti-hero.
The story was just weird enough, strange enough, different enough, and spooky enough to make for a very entertaining book.
This is a very unique take on zombies and the zombie apocalypse, told from several different participant perspectives. Way cool story with great narrration(with a name like Finty how could it not be!)
This was a pretty good short story. I listened to this mainly to get a feel for the series, like whether I wanted to start listening.... or not. I really think I could have enjoyed this more if the super bad guy wasn't so easy to beat. I mean really, you sing bad songs and he goes sploosh! I liked the characters, but the story left me really undecided.
Michael Kramer does a fantastic job. He is soooo gooood with subtle nuances and inflection. His voice carries emotion and feeling without drastic changes in tone.
The 2nd installment rolls right along where the first left off. Good story, great characters, and a phenomenal narrator. I'm really curious where this series leads, the next book should be a pivotal point in the story, creating stages for an uber supernatural showdown of sorts.
