  • The Pythons: Autobiography by the Pythons

    • ABRIDGED (2 hrs and 34 mins)
    • By Bob McCabe, John Cleese, Michael Palin
    • Narrated By Bob McCabe, John Cleese, Michael Palin

Over thirty years ago, a group of five Englishmen and one wayward American re-wrote the rules of comedy. Monty Python's Flying Circus, an unheralded collection of sketches, hilarities, inanities and animations first appeared on the BBC late one night in 1969. Its impact on the world has been felt ever since.

    G says: "Lots of fun"
    "Brilliant content, Poorly edited"

Dont let the bad sounding interviews (John Cleese sounds like he is in an empty auditorium, far in the back...and Michael Palin's phone rings a few times)This is a truly enjoyable book! If you are a fan, you will strain and squint to listen, because it is worth the time.

Very funny moments of Monty Python history revisited by Eric Idle, The Terry's (both Jones and Gilliam) John Cleese, Micheal Palin and the late Graham Chapman...

  • A Long Way Down

    • UNABRIDGED (8 hrs and 55 mins)
    • By Nick Hornby
    • Narrated By Scott Brick, Simon Vance, Kate Reading
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

In his eagerly awaited fourth novel, New York Times best-selling author Nick Hornby mines the hearts and psyches of four lost souls who connect just when they've reached the end of the line.

Julia's aunt says: "Seems made for audio format"
    "Truly Enjoyable"

Nick Hornby has mastered the art of dialogue. You will not be let down by this book, the characters or their ideosyncrasies.

Even though I didnt want to leave the characters, in the end, I know that they will never leave me.

Absolutely Brilliant... cant wait for the movie now.

  • AudibleProops, 1-Month Subscription

    • Abridged/Unabridged
    • By Greg Proops

An AudibleOriginals® series, AudibleProops features Greg Proops and his own brand of acid-drenched, vitriolic, and epithet-laden material. Get the latest issue or subscribe!

    Richard A. Bretschneider says: "Honest"
    "Thank God for Proops"

Thank god (well, if you listen to proops.. you probably, like I, question the true existance of the man upstairs ..but i digress) FOR GREG PROOPS!
If you are like me and spent the last few months living in the bizzaro world of a second term Buffoon stealing the race yet again..then you will breathe a sigh of relief in knowing that you are not alone in this crazy mixed up universe. Listening to Greg for the past few months has given me hope in humanity again and made me laugh in the process. His spin on the current events of the day are not far from my views, the only difference is that he presents them in such a way that makes you laugh and cringe at the same time...sort of like watching a man on fire slip on a banana peel while trying to put himself cant help but giggle while feeling terrified by the subject matter.
Nothing is taboo...he doesnt hide behind the media line of "political correctness" like most of the pundant wannabees at FOXNEWS (god I cringe seeing Hannity and Z. Miller spinning the wheel of ..well...spin--the sign post up ahead read...Bizarroville)
IF you laughed at Ashley Simpson screwing up, feel Bush is one vote short of a landslide (so to speak)..or giggle at Prince Harry's stupid wardrobe choices...then GREG is for you..hop on board and laugh your blues away.

  • Will They Ever Trust Us Again? Letters From the War Zone

    • UNABRIDGED (5 hrs and 14 mins)
    • By Michael Moore
    • Narrated By Michael Moore, Multiple Readers
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

American soldiers serve willingly. They risk their lives so the rest of us can be safe. The one small thing they ask is that they not be sent into harm's way unless it is absolutely necessary.

Amazon Customer says: "Ways You Can Support Our Troops"

Some people here would like you to "shun" this book... they think that the opinions of the soldiers should NOT be heard. Michael Moore does a great service to this country giving voice to those who others want you to SHUN.
You owe it to yourself to hear this book, you owe it to those who want their opinions expressed, who serve this country, who are disapointed with the administration.
Regardless of your opinion of the president, you need to hear the voices of the soldiers who FIGHT for YOUR freedom.
    God Bless Michael Moore...and America.
