Its a fairy tale. Characters become real and story is absorbing. Mr. Gaiman narrates his own work and has a wonderful reading voice. Very enjoyable with a nicely tied up ending.
Interesting take on the undead. I liked that the author wrote the story in distinctive segments, almost like chapter books or serial installments. As soon as I had enough of one particular part of Stoney's life story, we jumped ahead to the next installment. Listening went by fast.
Interesting stories of a city and business long gone. Interesting enough, but mostly about places and people I was only vaguely familiar with.
His stories of relatable even when he talks about a lifestyle most people will never experience. He is also a great narrator.
Alice does not disappoint. Like the different voices and character perspectives. Very enjoyable.
Really good escape book. Quick and Witty. Nothing too deep. Just perfect in between read if you have had a lot of weighty literature lately. She is my new go-to author when I just need a break.
The hours flew by as I listened to this remarkable story. Just as good as Seabiscuit. Excellent research and a fascinating read.
The premise was intriguing and Stephen King like it. And I did too, but so much time was spend on graphic and elaborate descriptions of very unpleasant things. Sometimes I just had to fast forward.
A bit long. Well blended mix of fiction with real historical characters. I enjoyed it.
A very well written suspenseful adventure! I do recommend that you read Book #1 first otherwise you might be a bit lost because of all the unique references in Peculiardom.
Lost of twist and turns. Very unique and creative.
I cannot say enough perfect things. Perfectly read. Lawrence Anthony's life on Thula Thula is a dream and true contribution to earth and all its creatures. Highly recommended for a people of all ages.
