What did you like best about The Long Earth? What did you like least?

Hard to review without giving away the plot, but there are too many loose ends. Obviously a sequel coming unless that weird ending was just that.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

Can't we have a book beginning to end instead of the constant formula of sequels? It was going so well...weird twists that are not logical.

Have you listened to any of Michael Fenton-Stevens’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No, but the performce was good.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

    Yes

Would you try another book from Mark Tufo and/or Sean Runnette?

Yes. Love all Tufo books but did this reveal a very dark side of this author?

What could Mark Tufo have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

    Never should have written it.

What didn’t you like about Sean Runnette’s performance?

    Perfect for Tufo books.

What character would you cut from Timothy?

    Timothy

    Any additional comments?

Vulgarity in the extreme. I live horror but no other author I have read goes this far. I had to stop listening and I am no prude. Tufo, what were you thinking. Where did all the crap come from.

She dwells in seclusion, a fugitive from enemies who will do her harm if she is ever found. But the bond between them runs deeper than the tragedies that have scarred their lives. Something more than chance - and nothing less than destiny - has brought them together in a world whose hour of reckoning is fast approaching.

What would have made Innocence better?

Not sure. Plot was too obvious. I had most figured out half way through. Also, the premise of a new Adam and Eve was a bit corny.

Has Innocence turned you off from other books in this genre?

    NO WAY

How did the narrator detract from the book?

    Did not. Very engaging.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Innocence?

Constant reference to the unrest in other countries. Was too obvious that this was going to play into a major calamity.

    Any additional comments?

I love Dean Koontz books and have read or listened to as many as I can get my hands on.

Death awaits the curious! Out along the rim of the galaxy hangs a loose configuration of some 60 stars known as the Faustian Chain. This whorl of sparkling suns is rich in planets and occupies an irregular volume of space some 20 light years in diameter. From an external viewpoint, the Chain presents a colorful display of plasma-streams, luminous nebulae and sparkling pinpoints of light.

What did you like best about Mech Zero: The Dominant? What did you like least?

I have recently complained about sequels and why do all writers feel the need to have continue a story over 10 books. Well, I got my wish in this book by B. V. Larson…sort of. What I got was a story that ended like it a sequel was coming. The story ended so abruptly, I had to check my player to be sure it did not skip something. On top of this, the reading of this is lacking in fluidity and was choppy. The story is pretty good, albeit very short. This should be classified as a short story or needs a sequel written. It did left me unsatisfied and wanting more of the tale. I wanted more depth, more development, and just more story. What happens next? Who are/were these people? I would not buy this unless you like cliff hangers without any promise of what is at the bottom.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

Develop the characters and the universe to get some depth.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

    Choppy delivery

Could you see Mech Zero: The Dominant being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

    Nope

What did you like best about Battle Station? What did you like least?

Excellent continuation of the story. Some inconsistancies and repeated behavior by the characters. One would think that trusting instincts would grow on a person instead of having the same respons as in the first book.

This is the story of Michael Talbot, his family, and his friends: a band of ordinary people trying to get by in extraordinary times. When disaster strikes, Mike, a self-proclaimed survivalist, does his best to ensure the safety and security of those he cares for. Book one of the Zombie Fallout Trilogy follows our lead character at his self-deprecating, sarcastic best. What he encounters along the way leads him down a long dark road, always skirting the edge of insanity.

Beginning to end, I love this series. I cannot wait for the next book

What did you like best about this story?

This is humorous but full of real emotion.

What about Sean Runnette’s performance did you like?

    Great voice of "Talbot"

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

It is, but I savor it to and from work. I resist the urge to lock myself under my headphones until it is complete.

    Any additional comments?

Best Zombie series I know. Not the same old "virus gets loose because of an experiment gone bad and everyone dies by being stupid" books.

What made the experience of listening to Green Mars the most enjoyable?

This book is extreamly detailed both in character content and in the sciences. I feel like I read a textbook with a story attached. I certainly know more about Mars, Climatology, Biology, Geology, and others...and I enjoyed learning about it.

The Zombie War came unthinkably close to eradicating humanity. Max Brooks, driven by the urgency of preserving the acid-etched first-hand experiences of the survivors from those apocalyptic years, traveled across the United States of America and throughout the world, from decimated cities that once teemed with upwards of 30 million souls, to the most remote and inhospitable areas of the planet.

What would have made World War Z better?

I get the interview concept of telling a story but where is the suspense, the build up, the climax? Story was just flat.
