This was the second book I listened to in the series. I'm not sure what order they are supposed to be in but I think I made a good choice. This book was a great follow-up to the first (If You Dare) and it was good to hear more about the characters I came to know in the first book. I am going to follow this one up with the story that follows the love between Alani & Jackson in Savor the Danger.
I love this series and the characters are rich and real. The historical facts in this book make you feel like your really in the time period with names you recognize and facts you know.
All three books were great, the narrator was very good and I would highly recommend this series to anyone.
I loved this book it gave me hope that America may not be lost and if we just use common sense and learn about our elected candidates we may be able to fix our problems. There was not a single point made in this book that I did not agree with. Ben Carson for President!
Great narrator & captivating story. It really gives you a realistic perspective on what missionary families go through.
This was by far one of the most inspirational, soul healing book I have listened too. I am listening to it for a 2nd time with my husband.
Great Narrator - Great series!! Monica writes highland love stories like no one else. Her mix of fact & fiction is fantastic!!!
I loved this book and I am looking forward to the rest of the series. The narrator was great and the story line kept me interested for the entire time. I have seen the series on TV but it cannot compare to the book. I highly recommend this to anyone who just loves a great story.
The book was well narrated but told me nothing new or "mind blowing". Basic behavior modification with brain development rolled in. Not bad information but nothing really useful.
I really liked the overall premise of this story. Jackson told all about his life and his struggles and how his cat changed his world view and his view of himself as part of the world. The only thing that frustrated me about this book was the almost constant use of metaphors it really took away from what he was trying to say. VERY DISTRACTING but worth wading through in the end.
I have listened to other novels by Charles Dickens & loved them but I just could not finish this one. The narrator was OK but at times I felt like I was listening to a book written in a foreign language. The English of the time period in which this book was written is so different from the English spoken in America today that I really did not know what the characters were taking about. I simply got board and frustrated and could not finish the book.
