Very VERY thorough
The tone and tempo of the narrator reminds of the 40's and 50's. Seems very artificial and uptight. Needs to be more relaxed and flowing.
Tons of great history. I think I was looking at a more entertaining look at the Rangers, stories, etc. This was a very ra-ra-ra cheerleading piece and as the other reviewer mentioned, a great recruiting book.
This is one of those books that I will easily listen to over and over.
The story is amazing, the detail and background is impressive!
To round it all out the main character is so likable, anyone can identify with this guy. Smart and very rough around the edges.
I was so hesitant about this book. I like Sci-Fi but I have run across way to many lame Sci-Fi books that are entirely too nerdy. This isn't one of them. When I heard this was in production to become a movie I was so excited!!
I knocked this book out during a trip out of town and immediately started listening to it again!
Buy this book!!
Don't know, only did the audio edition.
Interesting story premise, the level of detail and character development.
He does an excellent job with the voices and building in depth and drama.
Excellent book, Could not stop listening. I am not a big fan of the whole "Zombie Apocolypse" craze, I love a good action/thriller and this entire series doesn't disappoint!
This book content-wise was kinda cool.
Narration sucked rocks! This guys cannot keep his character voices straight and accents were pretty bad.
Compound that with a VERY slow moving book and this makes for a tedious listen. I have been trying to finish it but after 12 hours I am having a hard time.
I know this author is good, I have read his stuff before. it just felt like he was trying too hard to draw this one out.
This has got to be easily the funniest book I have ever read!
Yeah his narration style is annoying to say the least but I don't think anyone but the author could have done it justice.
Profane...yes, sexist...doesn't even come close to describing his degradation of women. This book was a guilty pleasure and extremely entertaining!!!
This was an enjoyable book AFTER you got past the crummy narration.
This was an excellent book about UDT and SEALS despite the poor narration. Besides mispronunciations, noises in the background, and a rather dull reading voice it still managed to be a good book. This is an interesting counter-point to Richard Marcinko's accounts on the same subject.
This book was great. Definitely get the unabridged version of this title.
The only part of this book I did not enjoy at all was the narration. He has got to be one of the most dull, monotone narrators ever!
This was a great story. Very will written and VERY engaging. You will have a hard time shutting this one off. Lookinf forward to more titles from this offer!
Very good listen. I would highly recommend it and I look forward to future books by Finder.
